With the release of Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name quickly approaching, we now get a look at the game’s opening cinematic and theme song, ‘Katatoki’ by Yojiro Noda and J.I.D. You can watch the cinematic via the embed below:
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will release digital only for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC on November 9th 2023. The game is an interquel set between Yakuza 6 and Yakuza: Like a Dragon that tells the story of Kiryu Kazama as he goes into hiding in Sotenbori.
The RGG Summit has brought with it news that Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will be releasing on January 26th 2024. We also have a brand new gameplay trailer that highlights a huge swathe of features. We also have a new 10 minute story trailer that summarises the game’s plot. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will is the 8th mainline entry in the Yakuza/Ryu Ga Gotoku/Like a Dragon franchise. It will release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game is being developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and will launch on January 26th 2024.
The Football Manager franchise returns for its 20th iteration in the form of Football Manager 2024. This latest entry in the series will launch on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PS5, with a scaled-down version called Football Manager Touch arriving on Switch and a mobile version called Football Manager 2024 Mobile arriving exclusively on Netflix. A new trailer for The Final Horizon update for Sonic Frontiers has landed showcasing a brief look at the new story that will unfold. This new DLC pack is completely free to all owners of Sonic Frontiers and is promising a new story, new playable characters and new challenges. Sonic Frontiers will receive another free update on September 28th 2023 called The Final Horizon. This latest update brings a new playable story campaign, alongside new playable characters and exclusive new challenges. You can watch a trailer showcasing what to expect via the embed below:
Sonic Frontiers originally released back in November 2022 and has received multiple free content updates since March 2023. Sonic Frontiers was developed by Sonic Team and is available on Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
Sonic Superstars now has a firm release date of October 17th 2023. This latest 2D take on the Sonic formula is heading to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Switch and its big focus is on co-operative multiplayer with up to 3 friends. In addition to the new trailer and release date, Sonic Superstars will have a digital deluxe edition that will include a set of Lego Sonic skins, a rabbit skin based on one of Sonic’s original character designs, a Mecha Sonic skin for use in battle mode, a digital art book, a digital mini soundtrack and bonus wallpapers for use of the main menu. The standard edition of the game also comes with some bonuses: a Lego Eggman skin, an acrylic display stand and a reversible cover with alternative artwork.
SEGA’s legacy franchise channel SEGA Forever have revealed that they have managed to find and restore the original Sonic the Hedgehog statue that stood in the SEGAWorld venue in the Trocadero in central London.
The statue was rescued and stored by the company Proun. A user on SEGA Forever’s Discord called Ted Haydon made SEGA aware of the statue’s current location which started the process of bringing the statue back to SEGA to be restored. The restoration was completed by the company 13 Finger FX.
The SEGAWorld Sonic statue is now going on tour and will be on the show flow at this year’s Gamescom from the 23rd to the 27th of August 2023 at SEGA’s booth.
A release date for Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name has been revealed. The game will launch as a digital-only title on November 9th 2023 for PS4 and PS5 systems. Also included in the package is a trial version of the upcoming 8th installment in the Yakuza/Like a Dragon mainline series: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Infinite Wealth appears to put you in control of both Ichiban Kasuga and Kiryu Kazama.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name tells the story of what happened to Kiryu Kazama after Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. Kiryu has gone into hiding in Sotenbori and is using an alias to distance himself from the people he desperately wants to protect. Unfortunately for Kiryu, it appears his cover has been blown and he is now being blackmailed
