The official Virtua Fighter YouTube channel has shared a short 35 second long clip of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s pre-development concept for the new Virtua Fighter project that was revealed at The Game Awards 2024.
This concept footage shows what RGG Studio are aiming for the final game to look and play like, but it was created before the game was greenlit for full development. This means the look and feel of the game is likely going to change as development progresses.
The footage shows 2 Akira’s in different outfits fighting in the street. The animations are extremely fluid and the camera angles change to frame specific attacks in a more dramatic way. Destructible environments are also showcased.
