Hucast’s next Dreamcast game Redux: Dark Matters finally has a release date! The side-scrolling shoot-em-up launches on December 3rd. The regular edition can be pre-ordered from the Hucast store for €32.95. Click here to be taken to the shop listing. In what must be the puzzle game crossover to end all puzzle game crossovers, Puyo Puyo and Tetris collide to create Puyo Puyo Tetris. The game quite literally blends the traditional gameplay elements of both the Puyo Puyo series and Tetris to create an ungodly mash-up of epic proportions. The game is based on a series of Japanese light novels called Dengeki Bunko and there are even SEGA characters rumored to be showing up. Sonic Boom 2013 took place in St Louis, Missouri on August 10th and saw Sonic fans gather at The Pageant for a day of Sonic-themed fun which included appearances by Crush 40, Takashi Iizuka and Kazuyuki Hoshino. A surprise release from SEGA! A new iOS game has appeared called Fiete Match. The game is a memory/puzzle game from the AHOiii studio who recently won SEGA’s Big Indie Pitch challenge and Gamescom. Are you ready for giant samurai, farming and chicken racing? Of course you are! The next game in the Yakuza franchise ‘Ryu Ga Gotoku Ishin’ has it all and it’s due to release on PS3 and PS4 on the 22nd of February 2014. The game will be a launch title for the PS4 and now we finally have some in-game footage of the title. The video reveals that there will also be remote play via PS Vita. SEGA have commented on the Phantasy Star Online 2 Western release situation. Yesterday a SEGA representitive apparently made a comment that a Western release of Phantasy Star Online 2 was completely out of the question. However, Kellie Parker of SEGA America has said: “Originally slated for an early 2013 launch, SEGA can officially confirm that PS02 has been delayed. We don’t have any specifics but will update everyone as soon as there are more details to share.” While this obviously means the game is still not due for release in the West any time soon it does mean that a release is still on the cards.
