[Source: SEGANews.net] Rumours That Aliens: Colonial Marines for Wii-U Has Been Cancelled “Not True”February 14th, 2013Eurogamer have reached out to SEGA for a comment regarding internet rumours that Aliens: Colonial Marines has been cancelled for Wii-U. Their response? “It’s not true. We haven’t announced the release date for it yet but that’s it.” Rumours began last night when Kotaku writer Jason Schreier left a comment saying, “We heard from a tipster about a month ago that the Wii U version had been ‘postponed indefinitely’. We reached out to Sega, and they denied it. I’ll let you guys fill in the blanks there. :)” SEGA had previously announced that the game was due out in the “launch window” for the Wii-U which lasts up to March. Fingers crossed this is still the case. NeoGAF users have also noticed that the game’s Amazon listing has also disappeared. As you can see above, there’s a Hang-On themed bicycle emblazoned with the game’s logo and painted in the game’s signature red. It is priced at a very affordable £144.10. The un-named employee has said: “Hate to say it, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up too high for Colonial Marines. I used to work at Gearbox, and the development of that game has been a total train wreck, going on what, six years now? Gearbox isn’t even making the game, except for the multiplayer. Primary development was outsourced to TimeGate Studios, which has a less than stellar past.” TimeGate Studios are known for the game Section 8: Prejudice and various DLC packs for FEAR.
