This could be your last opportunity to get Summer of Sonic tickets!
The Sonic Stadium are hosting a competition which ends at 7pm UK time TONIGHT. 10 pairs of tickets are up for grabs and all you need to do is answer the following question:
The first Summer of Sonic convention took place in 2008, but which year did Summer of Sonic start as an online celebration of all things Sonic?
If you think you know the answer, send an email entitled “Summer of Sonic Ticket competition” to competition@sonicstadium.org. You will need to include in your email:
– Your Answer
– Your name and the name of your friend you will be bringing with you
– Your full postal address
– Your phone number
– Your email address

SEGA have dropped a lawsuit on THQ over money they were owed from Steam pre-orders of Company of Heroes 2.
There were 20,755 pre-orders for Company of Heroes 2 registered through Steam from September 2012 to 24th January 2013. This generated revenue of $1,345,301.29 with Valve taking a 30% cut of those sales. This left THQ and Relic Entertainment with 70% which amounts to around $941,000.
SEGA claims it’s owned $508,877.85 from those pre-orders as Valve paid THQ after 19th December 2012, the day it filed for bankruptcy protection.

The sequel to Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F has been announced and will be released in Japan for PS3 and PS Vita in Spring 2014.
Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd promises more “depth and evolution” and will feature the songs Colorful X Melody”, “Romeo and Cinderella” and “Akatsuki Arrival”.

Summer of Sonic will host the first UK playable version of Sonic: Lost World. The game will be available to play on both Wii-U and 3DS at the convention so if you’re itching to play the latest Sonic game ahead of release and you managed to score a Summer of Sonic ticket then you’re in luck!

The little Android console that could can now play Sonic!
SEGA have just announced that the Ouya versions of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I and II are now available to purchase on Ouya. As with all Ouya games, the games come with free to download trials which contain the first stage for Episode I and the first two stages for Episode II.
Both games are priced at $6.99 each. No word on UK pricing at this time.

Despite the negative reception to Aliens: Colonial Marines, support for the game has been solid with numerous patches and DLC packs.
The final DLC pack for the game will be called Stasis Interrupted and is the only pack to offer additional single player campaign content.
Knowledge of the pack has been leaked via the pack’s PS3 trophies. No word on release dates or pricing are available at this time, but as usual the DLC will be “free” to owners of the game’s season pass.

The tickets will be available in 2 waves of 450 tickets with the first going live at 7pm BST Friday the 5th of July. The second wave will go live on Sunday the 7th of July at 6pm BST.
