The SEGA no Taiyaki Store in Akihabara is selling the SEGA logo-shaped Taiyaki that previously made an appearance at last year’s SEGA Fes. Taiyaki is a traditional Japanese cake normally filled with red bean paste.
Alongside the SEGA logo Taiyaki, the store is also selling an exclusive phone case that transforms your phone into a miniature Astro City arcade cabinet. Check it out in action below:

Back in February during the New York Toy Fair, Storm Collectibles revealed they were working on an Axel Stone figure to tie in with the release of Streets of Rage 4. While the figure is still without a release date, Storm have shared a new set of images of the figure that highlight the figure’s detail, interchangeable faces and hands as well as accessories; one of which is a flame trail so you can pose Axel in a way that simulates his famous ‘grand upper’ special attack:
Storm Collectibles figures are premium products with prices ranging between $70 and $95. The company are also working on a Golden Axe line that was due to release last month but has likely been put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We will share more news on all of these products as more details come in.
SEGA Japan have revealed that all future official soundtrack/music releases featuring SEGA music will now fall under a new SEGA Music banner. The first release under this banner is a 14 track Shin Sakura Wars Complete Works vocal tracks selection CD and a bonus disc containing the karaoke versions of the songs.
Shin Sakura Wars Complete Works launches on the 29th of April 2020 as both a physical CD as well as a digital download through Apple Music, Amazon and Google Play.
Remember the Sonic and Eggman rubber ducks? Well they’re no longer alone as Numskull are bringing Tails and Knuckles to the Tubbz line. Both can be pre-ordered from the official SEGA shop now for £12.99 each.
Each Tubbz model comes in a miniature display bathtub. Infamously, the models themselves can’t be used in the bath because they’re a little too top-heavy for their own good. These new models along with a reprint of the Sonic and Eggman models will launch in July 2020.
