Developed by Traveller’s Tales, the studio behind Sonic R, Sonic 3D and countless Lego titles, Sonic’s level pack for Lego Dimensions includes Sonic himself and 2 vehicles to pilot; his car from All-Stars Racing and the Tornado of Sonic 2 fame. Sonic appears to have his modern 3D Sonic move-set complete with homing attack, but with additional combat mechanics. He can also pilot all manor of vehicles that already exist in Lego Dimesnions. Watch the trailer below to see Sonic crossover into other franchises you would never imagine seeing him in:
Sonic’s level pack for Lego Dimensions launches in Autumn this year and will be available for all versions of the game.
If the news of Sonic Mania wasn’t exciting enough then you’ll be pleased to know that Sonic Team are developing their own Sonic game in the same vein as Sonic Colours and Sonic Generations. Tentatively titled Project Sonic 2017, the teaser for the PS4/Xbox One/NX title is extremely exciting. I won’t spoil the surprise, just watch:
Project Sonic 2017 will be releasing on PS4, Xbox One and NX in Holiday 2017.
Developed in collaboration with Sonic CD/1/2 Remastered developer Christian Whitehead, SEGA have revealed a new 2D Sonic adventure called Sonic Mania and it looks GORGEOUS:

Sonic the Hedgehog will be making his way into Lego Dimensions. A new trailer that confirms additions for the second year of the game’s existence has revealed that Adventure Time, Ghostbusters, Gremlins, E.T. and most importantly, Sonic the Hedgehog himself will be playable in the game. This obviously means a Lego mini-fig of Sonic is also in the works. Check out Sonic’s reveal in the below trailer:
There are no details as to what Sonic’s appearance in Lego Dimensions fully entails. We don’t know whether Sonic’s addition will come as a part of a story pack, level pack, team pack or fun pack and we don’t know what additional characters from the Sonic franchise will also be appearing. The above artwork does hint that Sonic’s vehicle might be the Tornado if that little bi-plane next to Voldemort is anything to go by. We’ll update this story with more details as we get them.
Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X HD, the PS4 port of the previously Vita exclusive rhythm game, is finally scheduled for a Japanese release on August 25th for PS4. We’ve also got a new trailer featuring a medley of songs from the game that you can watch below:
There is currently no word on whether the game will make it to Europe, but a US release for the game was confirmed for Autumn last month. Looks like a simultaneous worldwide launch might be on the cards if SEGA Europe decide to pull their finger out.
SEGA America will be bringing Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X to the US in Autumn 2016 for both PS Vita and PS4.
The latest title in the franchise only launched on PS Vita in Japan earlier this month, while the Japanese PS4 version was also scheduled for the third quarter of 2016 anyway. This could mean a worldwide release is scheduled for this title, similar to the launch of Project Mirai DX on 3DS. However, there is no official word on a European release at this time.
The PS4 release of previously arcade exclusive Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone will now launch as 2 games with different songs.
One version is called Future Sound and will include 120 songs drawn from the Project Diva series. The other version is called Colourful Tone and will include 100 songs drawn from the arcade game and the Project Mirai series.
Also revealed is the option to map buttons to wherever you want on the controller. You are even given the ability to map 2 button functions to a single button.
Both games will launch on PS4 in full HD. Framerates of 60 fps have also been promised; a first for any home console Project Diva game.
SEGA Europe have finally committed to a release of Yakuza 0.
The European version of Yakuza 0 is planned to arrive in, “early 2017”. The game will launch as both a physical and digital release on PS4, which makes a nice change considering Yakuza 5 was a digital only release.
Yakuza 0 is a prequel to the original Yakuza game on PS2. You can also watch a new trailer below:
