Sonic & Tails Added as Playable Characters in Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania | Video Spotlight

More bonus characters have been revealed for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania and this time we have the additions of both Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles “Tails” Prower. When these characters are in use the bananas strewn around the game’s levels also become rings for added Sonic the Hedgehog theming. Check it out in the reveal trailer below:

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania launches for Switch, PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series consoles on the 5th of October 2021. The game is an enhanced remake of Super Monkey Ball Deluxe which originally released on PS2 and Xbox back in 2005.

Digital Pre-Orders for Sonic Mania Now Open, Release Date Revealed

Sonic Mania is now available to pre-order digitally across Steam, the Microsoft Store and PSN for £15.99 and the game will unlock on August 15th 2017.

There are various perks available for pre-ordering across the 2 of the platforms. Steam are offering 10% off any pre-orders for a limited time, while PSN pre-orders come with 6 avatars and 3 dashboard themes. The avatars and themes unlock at launch along with the game itself. The Microsoft Store currently offers no additional pre-order perks at this time.

There is also a gorgeous new trailer full of hand-drawn animated sequences by Tyson Hesse and it also includes the reveal of Stardust Speedway (past) as a new stage. Check it out:

European Special Edition of Valkyria Chronicles Remastered Announced

SEGA Europe have revealed a ‘Europa Edition’ for Valkyria Chronicles Remastered.

The European special edition will come with an A3 poster of the game’s cast and an exclusive ‘The Art of Valkyria Chronicles’ art book. On top of that, you also get all the previously released DLC with the game as standard. That’s a pretty nifty package if I do say so myself.

Pricing hasn’t been revealed yet but Valkyria Chronicles Remastered launches in Europe on the 17th of May for PS4.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Ishin Will Have Bonus Content on PS3 for Owners of Past Yakuza Games

Ryu Ga Gotoku Ishin will receive exlusive PS3 bonus content for anyone who owns previous Yakuza PS3 games.

In a short interview with Siliconera, Toshihiro Nagoshi has revealed that if you have save data from past Yakuza games on your PS3 then you will receive “a little bonus”. This content is exclusive to the PS3 version of the game and will not make its way on the PS4 version.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Ishin is released in Japan on the 22nd of February. A Western release has not been confirmed at this time.

Special Edition of Sonic Lost World Revealed, Contains NiGHTS into Dreams Boss Battles

Well how cool is this!? A special edition of the Wii-U version of Sonic: Lost World has surfaced called Sonic: Lost World Deadly Six Edition and it contains DLC that adds NiGHTS into Dreams boss battles!

I think it’s brilliant that Sonic Team are still so enamoured with the NiGHTS franchise that they’re still referencing it even today. How about a new game now eh?

Vectorman Playable in HOTD Overkill Lost Reels

Play as Shinobi in HOTD Overkill The Lost Reels

For the release of The House of the Dead: Overkill – The Lost Reels on iOS and Android, SEGA have added Shinobi as an unlockable “weapon”. With the Shinobi weapon enabled, the original arcade graphics of Joe Musashi’s hands and throwing stars show on screen and you attack zombies with the throwing stars. To unlock Shinobi for The House of the Dead: Overkill – The Lost Reels you must earn 20,000 in-game Koins. The House of the Dead: Overkill – The Lost Reels is available now for iOS and Android devices.

Fire Should Light a Match App Features SEGA Backgrounds

Japanese Android and iOS game Fire should Light a Match is a simple little game where you strike matches against matchboxes. The trick is not to strike items that aren’t matches which include things like pencils and cigarettes.

The App is extremely popular in Japan and through a series of QR codes you can download SEGA-themed backgrounds which feature Dreamcasts, Mega Drives and SEGA Saturns.

Kiryu Kazuma is a Playable Character in Everybody’s Golf 6

Yakuza’s titular hero Kiryu Kazuma is making a guest appearance in Everybody’s Golf 6 as a playable DLC character. Kiryu can be purchased for 500 yen from the Japanese PSN store for both the PS3 and PS Vita versions of the game.

Pre-Order Company of Heroes 2 and Receive Additional Mini-Campaign

SEGA have announced pre-order exclusives for Company of Heroes 2.

Pre-order the game and receive the Theatre of War bonus mini-campaign which will arrive shortly after launch. Also included is 2 vehicle skin packs for use in multiplayer as well as 2 extra commanders also for use in multiplayer.

Company of Heroes 2 launches in June and is the first game from Relic Entertainment under its’ new owner at SEGA.
