The Yakuza 6 demo has been removed from the US Playstation store after some users found an exploit to allow them to play the full game.
The demo itself is 36.53gb in size and actually contains all the data for the full game, except the demo was designed to lock players into a small portion of the game with their progress being carried over to the full game on release day (17th of April 2018).
The full game exploit appears to be exclusive to the American version of the demo as the demo is currently still available on the UK and Australian Playstation store-fronts. If this changes then we will be sure to update this story.
There is also a gorgeous new trailer full of hand-drawn animated sequences by Tyson Hesse and it also includes the reveal of Stardust Speedway (past) as a new stage. Check it out:
It’s been a very long wait but Yakuza 5’s Western release is finally dated and it’s coming next week on the 8th of December.
The game’s release date was revealed in tonight’s Playstation Experience event. Yakuza 5 will be released digitally for PS3 and include all the DLC that was released during its original Japanese campaign.
You can now pre-order Yakuza 5-themed avatars on the PSN store. The pre-order date? 5th of November. Could this be a clue as to the game’s Western release date? Quite possibly.
The avatars are actually marked as Yakuza 5-themed items and you can pre-order them by clicking here. Why you’d want to pre-order tiny images for 25p is beyond me but that’s a thing you can do if you’re losing your grip on reality. Happy times!
Yakuza 5 should launch exclusively on PS3 via the PSN store on November 5th. Should.
It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about the Western release of Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax and then all of a sudden there’s a new character roster trailer to check out (see below) and news of the game’s US release which is next week!
The game launches on the PSN store on October 6th. This is for both the PS3 and PS Vita versions. Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax is a cross-franchise fighting game featuring characters from anime and manga series’ like Sword Art Online. There’s also some cheeky SEGA cameos as well:
You can now put down a digital pre-order for Yakuza 5 on PSN for Playstation 3. The game releases later this year (still no firm release date) and a pre-order will guarantee you an exclusive theme for your PS3 dashboard. Hooray.
Also confirmed for the Western release of Yakuza 5 is all the Japanese DLC, included with a purchase of the game as standard. One of these packs is called, “Another Drama” and features detailed sub-plots for each of the 5 playable characters.
Well I don’t think anyone saw this coming! The previously Japan exclusive fighting game Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax will get a Western release on PS3 and PS Vita. The European release will be digital-only while the game will get a digital and boxed release in North America.
The fighting game brings together characters from manga and anime series’ like Sword Art Online, Accel World, A Certain Magical Index and Durarara!! The game also features SEGA characters like Akira from Virtua Fighter and Selvaria from Valkyria Chronicles.
Check out the announcement trailer below:
Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax will be released this summer.
The House of the Dead games on PSN have been put on sale on the PSN store. You can now grab House of the Dead III, 4 and Overkill for the following prices:
The House of the Dead III: £2.39 or £1.79 for PS+ subscribers
The House of the Dead4: £3.24 or £2.43 for PS+ subscribers
The House of the Dead Overkill – Extended Cut: £6.39 or £4.79 for PS+ subscribers
Alternatively a bundle of all 3 can be grabbed for £7.99 or £5.99 for PS+ subscribers.
Well I wasn’t expecting this! On September 10th, Japanese Playstation Plus subscribers will be able to download Miku Miku Hockey, an augmented reality air hockey game for PS Vita. That’s all there is to it really; I’m sure it’ll be a nice distraction but nothing spectacular. Have a look at that screenshot up there 🙂
