Thursday, August 22nd, 2013

Ryu Ga Gotoku Ishin is the latest game in the Ryu Ga Gotoku/Yakuza series and some details are finally beginning to show themselves.

– Ishin is not a true sequel to Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan! but more of a spiritual sequel
– Ishin is set just before the Meiji restoration period and not the Edo period of Kenzan!

Well how cool is this!? A special edition of the Wii-U version of Sonic: Lost World has surfaced called Sonic: Lost World Deadly Six Edition and it contains DLC that adds NiGHTS into Dreams boss battles!

You can see the NiGHTS characters in action in the new UK trailer below:

I think it’s brilliant that Sonic Team are still so enamoured with the NiGHTS franchise that they’re still referencing it even today. How about a new game now eh?

A new entry in the Yakuza series has been revealed! Ryu Ga Gotoku Ishin is the name of the latest title but apart from that and the above piece of artwork we have no details as to what the new game will feature or what platforms it will be released on.

The artwork seems to suggest another romp through feudal Japan similar to Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan! but only time will tell. More on this as we get it.

Takishi Iizuka Promises Sonic Lost World is “Different From Everything Before”

Thursday, August 15th, 2013

In a conversation with Famitsu, Takashi Iizuka has promised Sonic: Lost World will be “different from everything before”. Iizuka-san has gone on record to say that
“…Sonic Lost World, which will feature graphics that fit the game’s content, nice controllability, and a new 360 degree ‘Tube Stage’ that has yet to be seen. We are thinking of showing off a new Sonic that is different from everything before.”

Yes, I believe some people may ask ‘Will you be able to show how fun Sonic can be using a 360 degree stage?’ just like how some asked ‘Will it really be possible to have it in 3D?’ which was the kind of question that helped in the creation of Sonic Adventure.”

Iizuka-san made some further comments about the challenging development of Lost World:

“Yes, I believe some people may ask ‘Will you be able to show how fun Sonic can be using a 360 degree stage?’ just like how some asked ‘Will it really be possible to have it in 3D?’ which was the kind of question that helped in the creation of Sonic Adventure. I believe Sonic Lost World will deliver a new experience for everyone. It will also have data transfer between the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, so please look forward to it.”
