[Source: SEGAShiro] Jun Senoue Confirmed for TGS Performance, 3rd Generations OST?August 27th, 2011Jun Senoue, famed composer of many a Sonic game, has confirmed he will be performing on the SEGA stage of the Tokyo Game Show on Sunday September 18th. Jun will be performing alone and is planning an interesting playlist. “I need to think about the songs to play there and I know it will be a great opportunity to play some from Generations.” In other news, Jun has also confirmed that the 2 Sonic Generations CDs we discovered artwork for are in fact Japanese pre-order items for anyone pre-ordering either the PS3/360 or 3DS versions. “They are sort of giveaway CDs. I will work on the soundtrack CD of Sonic Generations later.” That last comment seems to indicate that Jun is arranging a proper Generations soundtrack CD for a later release. Come September 18th the showcase opens to the public, so get your gamepads ready because there’ll be a whole heap of new Sonic fangaming to sink your teeth into. The show runs until September 24th and is currently in its’ registration stage. If you have a game you would like to submit you’ll need the following along with proof of your game: – Booth banner: 200 x 40 No borders! (Please attach to registration e-mail) Email your banner and URL to sagexpo@gmail.com by September 14th to be featured at THE annual fangaming event of the year. Other things to look forward to are the Sonic the Hedgehog Hacking Contest helf independently by SSRG and the ‘Best in Show’ contest being run by Overbound, the creator of Sonic Time Twisted. However, SEGA have got a bit confused: “Sonic CD marks an important chapter in Sonic’s history, bridging the gap between his oldest adventures and his new digital exploits like Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode I,” said Sega West digital business VP Haruki Satomi. Erm, no it isn’t Satomi. “We’ve made sure the re-mastered edition has everything that Sonic fans want to see with all of the original colourful classic zones.” The game has also been confirmed for XBLA, PSN, PC, iOS, Android and Windows 7 phones. [Source: Spong] New Sonic Generations Art and Screenshots & Soundtracks Confirmed!August 25th, 2011Fansite The Sonic Scene has uncovered some interesting Sonic Generations images. Japanese PS3 and 360 pack-shots have been discovered along with 2 covers for ‘white’ and ‘blue’ editions of the original soundtrack. Also featured is a new 3DS screenshot showing the famous Emerald Coast whale chase! There’s also a shot from the opening cutscene from the PS3/360 versions (SPOILERS).
