Aliens: Colonial Marines Delayed Until Autumn 2012January 26th, 2012SEGA’s official Aliens: Colonial Marines page is now listing the game’s release date as ‘Autumn 2012’ which means the game has been delayed. The game was due for a ‘Spring 2012’ launch but the lack of noise in the Gearbox camp should probably have made this delay a little more obvious. [Source: The Sixth Axis] Video Spotlight: Yakuza Dead Souls TrailerJanuary 18th, 2012On the 16th of March the Yakuza series returns with a new spin-off title, ‘Yakuza: Dead Souls’. The new title plays out during a zombie outbreak in Tokyo and it’s up to Kiryu Kazuma and friends to survive it! Lots of info on this one so we’ll shut up and let SEGA do the talking. First up, Fly Through Olympic Stadium Trailer: Secondly, the first trailer for the game: And finally the full press release below: “LONDON & SAN FRANCISCO (January 17th, 2012) – SEGA® Europe Ltd. & SEGA® of America, Inc., are excited to announce further details for the upcoming London 2012™ – The Official Video Game of the Olympic Games. Favourite Olympic events make a welcome return in 2012, with the addition of new Olympic disciplines, improved modes of play and motion control support for PlayStation®Move and Kinect™ for Xbox 360®. Available for PC, the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system, and the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, London 2012™ will be in stores for June 2012. For the first time in an officially licensed Olympic video game, London 2012™ will support motion control in a number of different Olympic events. Budding sports heroes will have an enhanced and realistic way of competing in a number of events that are compatible with PlayStation®Move and Kinect™ including 110m Hurdles, Beach Volleyball (Kinect only) and 25m Rapid Fire Pistol (Move only). Over 30 Olympic events have been authentically recreated in their official Olympic arenas with a host of new disciplines making their debut for London 2012™. Keirin (Cycling) at the Velodrome, 10m Synchronised Platform (Diving) at the Aquatics Centre and Trampoline at North Greenwich Arena are just some of the new events in which you can compete for that coveted gold medal. In another first for this iteration of the video game, London 2012™ will take the world’s biggest sporting event online in the form of global leaderboards. The leaderboards will track personal medals gained whilst playing online, with each personal medal won added to that nation’s medal table. Every medal won will help to improve a nation’s standing in the leaderboards, creating even more moments of sporting glory and fame across the globe. Well the mystery is no more thanks to this video I put together: I’m still not entirely sure I like this video, but if it interests some then I suppose that’s all I could ask for! Interesting note, there are actually 149 games in this collection as I forgot to include Pier Solar. Pier Solar Back In Stock, Soundtrack Now Available For Pre-OrderJanuary 16th, 2012Pier Solar, the massive new Mega Drive RPG from Water Melon Co. is now back in stock. The version in stock is the reprint edition that features the old-school, black square artwork that Mega Drive fans will know from earlier releases. However, the reprint edition does not come with the CD soundtrack that is optional to use with the game. The soundtrack used to be available as a downloadable image which you could burn yourself so that those with the reprint edition could experience the game the same way those who got the first pressing did. Well now Water Melon Co. have made a 4 disc special edition of the soundtrack available for pre-order. The 4 disc edition contains the original soundtrack on 2 discs, as well as a disc of remixes and another disc which contains the soundtrack for use with the reprint edition. The soundtrack is not expected to be released until the 1st April 2012 (this better not be an April Fools!) so there’s plenty of time to place an order. Video Spotlight: CRUSH3D Launch TrailerJanuary 15th, 2012CRUSH3D is out now! Zoe Mode’s unique puzzler was previously PSP exclusive, but this new 3D update to the original is now available for 3DS owners. If you’ve never experienced CRUSH before and you own a 3DS, you owe it to yourself to play CRUSH3D. The original game was a wonderfully unique and quirky experience.
