Video Spotlight: Our Collection of SEGA-Published Wii Games

Friday, October 18th, 2013

We love the Wii. It’s a brilliant console that didn’t really get the love it deserved from the more experienced gaming public because despite its family friendly appearance, a great deal of exciting and interesting games got released for the system. Some of those were even published by SEGA!

The below video showcases our personal SEGA collection of games published for the Nintendo Wii with an in depth focus into why we like or dislike each of the games we own:

Video Spotlight: Transformers Human Alliance Looks Like Gunblade

Sunday, October 13th, 2013

The first gameplay footage of SEGA Amusement’s Transformers Human Alliance has gone live and I’ll be damned; it looks like awesome-SEGA-arcade-light-gun-fun-times. What’s interesting is it reminds us of SEGA arcade classics Gunblade and LA Machineguns and it even includes that brilliantly cheesy dialogue that SEGA are so famous for (see games like House of the Dead for instance). Check out the trailer below:

Metal Band ‘Centiment’ Making Album Called ‘Streets of Rage’

Friday, October 4th, 2013

Now this might be a bit of a tenuous SEGA link but I think it’s worth mentioning. British metalcore/electronica band Centiment (who also feature members of InMe) are running a Pledge Music campaign for their debut album. What’s the album called? Why ‘Streets of Rage’ of course!

Other than being named after a famous SEGA beat-em-up, the band are also offering a remix version of the album which will feature “more than a little nod to video game music”. All the donation tiers are also cleverly named after generations of video game consoles with the lower levels being ’16bit’ and the highest level being ‘128bit’.

If video game inspired metal is your cup of tea then you might want to consider making a pledge towards Centiment’s album. You can access the Pledge Music page for the album by clicking here and download a free song by clicking here.
