New Sonic Frontiers Teaser Video Showcases More Gameplay | Video Spotlight

Tuesday, May 31st, 2022

A new teaser video from IGN showcasing some in-game action from Sonic Frontiers has arrived. Click the embed below to see Sonic running around some beautiful, grassy vistas while battling some strange new enemies:

Sonic Frontiers appears to introduce a new laser-grapple mechanic that requires you to run rings around your enemies and launch them into the air. Combat seems to be similar to the homing attack-and-melee attacking style of Shadow the Hedgehog in Sonic 06. There is also a new glowing ring item that Sonic can run in hamster wheel-style that appears to initiate a scan of the surrounding area. Boosting and grinding also make a reappearance.

Sonic Frontiers will be the first open world Sonic title and is being developed in house by SEGA’s own Sonic Team. The game will launch on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC in “Holiday 2022”.

As the release of Sonic Frontiers approaches, fans can’t wait to get their hands on the game and explore the open world with the iconic blue hedgehog. Pre-orders are already available on various platforms, and gamers can also check out http://coinlooting.com/ for exclusive deals and discounts on the game. The site offers a wide range of video games, including popular titles, pre-orders, and downloadable content. With its easy-to-use interface and fast delivery, CoinLooting is a great option for those looking to buy Sonic Frontiers and other video games online.

IGN are also planning a month-long look at Sonic Frontiers with hands-on impressions and interviews with the game’s creators coming soon. We will be certain to highlight any interesting updates on Sonic Frontiers as they appear.

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix + Now Available on Steam

Thursday, May 26th, 2022

After a SteamDB listing showed up for it just the other day, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix + has shown up on Steam… and it’s out now! Coming in at £34.39… for the sake of Japanese puns.

A port of the Nintendo Switch port of Future Tone (wrap your head around that one), this updated version includes the much requested option to turn off Mega Mix’s toon shader, meaning you can enjoy visuals that are accurate to the arcade version.

Also available is a £49.99 VIP Edition, that includes 72 extra songs and unlocks all of the game’s many, many customisation items instantly as a time saver.

It’s an extremely welcome surprise, and it’s great to have the Project DIVA series make its PC debut; let alone with perhaps the most comprehensive game in the series.

You can get the game on Steam here.

Saturday, May 21st, 2022

The wonderful people at SEGA Dreamcast Info have managed to acquire and archive an early build of Shenmue II from April 11th 2001 that features a multitude of differences when compared to the final game. The most interesting discovery is that art assets of the game’s director Yu Suzuki are included in this build, and SEGA Dreamcast Info have also released a version of the prototype that changes Ryo’s character model so that you can play as Yu Suzuki instead. You can see him in action via the embed below:

A full article about every difference in this prototype can be accessed by clicking here. A download link for this prototype and the Yu Suzuki version are also included at the end of the article. Once again we have to say a huge, “thank you” to the team at SEGA Dreamcast Info for preserving this amazing piece of SEGA development history.
