We have a new selection of updates to our Merchandise section. See below for the full list of additions and changes:
– The Book section has now be rearranged. There is now a landing page that lists every entry and each book now has it’s own page
– Mean Machines: The Essential SEGA Guide now added to the Book section
– New scans and the individual track artists have been added to the Super 32X 15th Anniversary Album entry in the Music section

Numskull designs have revealed a brand new Sonic the Hedgehog knitted Christmas jumper for 2018. The new design features Sonic, Tails and Knuckles snowboarding/skiing in an environment not too dissimilar to Ice Cap from Sonic 3.
The jumper is available to pre-order now from Geek Store and is priced at £39.99. The jumper will ship nearer the end of November 2018.

Pix’n Love have revealed a limited edition version of Shenmue I & II for PS4 and Xbox One that includes the game, an art book, 4 collectible art cards and a cardboard case to house everything in. Pre-orders will go live on Pix’n Love’s website on October 3rd 2018 at 12pm CEST.
It appears this collector’s edition is currently exclusive to Europe as all promotional imagery features the game with the European PEGI rating on the cover. There is no word on a release outside of Europe at this time.

A new model company called Retro Electro has revealed that they are producing a miniature model Mega Drive for release in December 2018. The model will be 1:2.3 scale (approximately 122mm x 92mm x 30mm) and comes with an additional miniature Sonic the Hedgehog cartridge, controller and replica box based on the Sonic bundle. The prototype images show a European PAL model Mega Drive and there’s currently no word if models based on the Japanese and US systems are planned. Retro Electro have stated that their models are priced between £30-£40. Pre-orders will be opening soon and if you want to bookmark Retro Electro’s website so you don’t miss them then you can click this link.

Hot on the heels of Read-Only Memory’s Mega Drive/Genesis and Dreamcast Collected Works books, the company are now running a Kickstarter to fund a pop-up book featuring SEGA arcade cabinets. Called SEGA Arcade: Pop-Up History, this new book promises 5 pop-up cardboard sculptures of famous SEGA arcade games and their cabinets, with additional notes that chart the history of each machine.
The Kickstarter version of the book will feature an exclusive foil, embossed cover that will be replaced with a printed cover design if the book makes it to later editions.
If you’re interested in securing a copy of this rather unique little piece of SEGA merchandise then you can by backing the Kickstarter which will run from now until August 9th 2018. The book is currently scheduled to ship in April 2019.

Sam Dyer and Bitmap Books have returned to Kickstarter to crowdfund a new visual compendium, but this time around it’s the publisher’s first foray into a SEGA system. Bitmap Books are now seeking funding to help create SEGA Master System: A Visual Compendium. The book will be officially licensed by SEGA.
As with previous books in the series, the SEGA Master System compendium will feature large features and interviews with a range of developers and artists, as well as double-page spreads on specific games with accompanying text.
Bitmap Books are looking to crowdfund £50,000 to create and produce the SEGA Master System compendium, and the Kickstarter campaign will be running until the 31st of July. There are various bonus items you can get in the various Kickstarter tiers, so why not head over the Kickstarter page right now and have a look?
Each physical book also comes with a custom bookmark and a set of anaglyph 3D glasses which can be used in conjunction with certain pages that are printed to make use of the 3D glasses; a nice little nod to the Master System’s own 3-D Glasses.

After previously teasing a collaboration with the franchise, Japanese streetwear brand THUNDERBOX has now revealed its new range of Sonic the Hedgehog apparel.
You can catch a full gallery of the range below. It’s somewhat reminiscent of the fantastic DropDead x Sonic range we got here in the UK, and we’re definitely down for that Eggman shirt. However as we mentioned in our last article, sadly THUNDERBOX do not offer worldwide shipping from their site. If you’ve got a friend in Japan, now’s the time to call in a favour.
