SEGA America will be bringing Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X to the US in Autumn 2016 for both PS Vita and PS4.
The latest title in the franchise only launched on PS Vita in Japan earlier this month, while the Japanese PS4 version was also scheduled for the third quarter of 2016 anyway. This could mean a worldwide release is scheduled for this title, similar to the launch of Project Mirai DX on 3DS. However, there is no official word on a European release at this time.
The latest Humble Bundle from SEGA is now available for the next 12 days and includes PC titles such as Company of Heroes, Rome: Total War and Valkyria Chronicles. See below for the full list of games available for each of the 3 pricing tiers:

The PS4 release of previously arcade exclusive Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone will now launch as 2 games with different songs.
One version is called Future Sound and will include 120 songs drawn from the Project Diva series. The other version is called Colourful Tone and will include 100 songs drawn from the arcade game and the Project Mirai series.
Also revealed is the option to map buttons to wherever you want on the controller. You are even given the ability to map 2 button functions to a single button.
Both games will launch on PS4 in full HD. Framerates of 60 fps have also been promised; a first for any home console Project Diva game.
SEGA Europe have finally committed to a release of Yakuza 0.
The European version of Yakuza 0 is planned to arrive in, “early 2017”. The game will launch as both a physical and digital release on PS4, which makes a nice change considering Yakuza 5 was a digital only release.
Yakuza 0 is a prequel to the original Yakuza game on PS2. You can also watch a new trailer below:
It’s been a long time since we heard anything about the delayed follow-up to Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal, but Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice finally has a new release date of September 27th.
The game was previously delayed because SEGA America wanted to make a game that “fans will continue to play for years after they pick up the game”. SEGA also promised it would “be a stronger, more enjoyable experience” thanks to the extended development period.
There is no new footage or screens to show at the moment, but you can guarantee we’ll be sharing any the moment they drop.
A Sonic the Hedgehog 25th anniversary event has been revealed. The event will take place at the San Diego House of Blues on the 22nd of July. Tickets are available now and can be bought by clicking here.
The event was announced at a recent Sonic the Hedgehog retrospective panel at SXSW. Sonic the Hedgehog social media guru Aaron Webber also hinted at another Sonic game reveal for the event but wouldn’t commit to a definite, “there will be a new Sonic game announcement at this event” so take those comments with a pinch of salt.
SEGA Europe have revealed a ‘Europa Edition’ for Valkyria Chronicles Remastered.
The European special edition will come with an A3 poster of the game’s cast and an exclusive ‘The Art of Valkyria Chronicles’ art book. On top of that, you also get all the previously released DLC with the game as standard. That’s a pretty nifty package if I do say so myself.
Pricing hasn’t been revealed yet but Valkyria Chronicles Remastered launches in Europe on the 17th of May for PS4.
SEGA are now running a new survey which you can get involved in by clicking here.
The company are specifically looking for fan feedback in order to, “make their games better”. There’s a whole host of questions in this survey that ask what your favourite SEGA franchises are (both old and new) as well as your involvement with things like mobile gaming. They’ve also hilariously listed House of the Dead and The House of the Dead as separate entries. Oh SEGA.
This survey is certainly an interesting development that fans of the publisher will want to get involved in. As we have previously mentioned in the past in our Yakuza 0 and the Disparity Between SEGA America and Europe article, SEGA’s Western divisions don’t seem to communicate with consumers very well and an opportunity to give feedback in this survey may help improve matters in the future.
The Dreamcast and SEGA Saturn console themes for 3DS are finally coming to Europe this Friday the 19th of February. Each theme will set you back £1.59 and come complete with sampled audio relevant to each console.
The European localisation has been especially impressive for previous SEGA console themes with the Mega Drive and Master System themes using sound and imagery relevant to the console’s release in the PAL regions. The same seems to have been applied to the Dreamcast theme which actually uses the blue swirl as opposed to the orange swirl used in America and Japan.
We’ve finally got a screen of SEGASonic Bros. that shows the multi-coloured Sonics that appear on the title screen, but actually in action.
While we’ve previously seen screens of different coloured balls on the game’s play-field (see below), the multi-coloured Sonics that appear on the title screen hadn’t previously been shown in game. From the above screenshot we can see the multi-coloured Sonics are actually used in play. We can only assume that turn into balls when placed or scored.
