SEGA MegaFire Control Pad (Model Number MK-1657-50)
An attempt by SEGA to compete with the third party manufacturers developing Mega Drive controllers with turbo switches by making an equivalent of their own. This controller uses the same form factor as SEGA’s own 3 button controllers, but now with turbo switches above each button. The start button has been moved to accommodate this but into a particularly awkward position. The turbo switches have 3 settings; on, off and auto. Auto essentially activates the corresponding button in turbo mode but without having to press it.
