Sonic Frontiers will receive another free update on September 28th 2023 called The Final Horizon. This latest update brings a new playable story campaign, alongside new playable characters and exclusive new challenges. You can watch a trailer showcasing what to expect via the embed below:
Sonic Frontiers originally released back in November 2022 and has received multiple free content updates since March 2023. Sonic Frontiers was developed by Sonic Team and is available on Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
The latest free update pack for Sonic Frontiers is now available to download in celebration of the 32nd anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. The Sonic’s Birthday Bash update adds new challenges, moves, collectible Koco and a New Game + mode. You can check out the launch trailer below:
Sonic Frontiers is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Switch. All downloadable content added to the game post launch has been made available as a free download.
A free update to Streets of Rage 4 with the Mr. X Nightmare DLC installed is now available and adds a whole host of new features and balances. The new update boasts 300+ balances and combo adjustments across all characters, new co-operative attacks for different character combinations and a completely customisable survival mode. Streets of Rage 4 and the Mr. X Nightmare DLC are available for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The game was developed by Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games and published by Dotemu under license from SEGA.
A long overdue update to Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 has finally arrived for iOS. We’ve had a quick muck around with the new version of the game this morning and found the following changes:
– Sonic’s character model is considerably more detailed and more closely resembles the home console versions (image comparisons below)
– All art assets are now of a much higher resolution which makes use of modern iOS retina displays. Menus and HUD items do still look a bit stretched
– The stage select screen now resembles the home console stage select screen that uses a map of Sonic’s world (image comparisons below)
– The gyro controls in the special stages are much smoother now
If you already own Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 for iOS, then you can get the game update from your App Store now.
Japan exclusive arcade fighting game Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax will receive an update which adds two new characters.
The 2 characters in question are Taiga Aisaka from Toradora! and Miyuki Shiba from The Irregular in Magic High School. You can see screenshots of the two in action above.
There are currently no plans to bring Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax to the West and a console version has not been announced. TOUGH LUCK LOSERS
Japan exclusive arcade title Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Arcade is receiving an update on March 19th which adds 3 new songs; 39, Senbonzakura and a rather spectacular After Burner II remix. Check the video below to hear clips of the 3 songs in action:
