Myself and Titanscreed from Project Phoenix Productions recently re-launched our let’s plays under their own banner and are now advertised as a show called 8-Bit Phonies. In our inaugural series we played through the Master System version of Sonic the Hedgehog but recently we’ve also started a let’s play of Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster’s Hidden Treasure. You can watch the series as it unfolds via the embed below:
Various updates have been made to the hardware section, merchandise sections and some select reviews on the website. Look below for all the new additions and changes on the website:
Watermelon Games have surprise-announced a new Mega Drive title called Papi Commando. Developed by Studio Vetea, the top-down shooter is reminiscent of games like Mercs and Ikari Warriors and is available to purchase right now by clicking this link.
At the time of writing, the limited edition boxed version has sold out, but the raw version which contains the cartridge, instruction manual and a paper insert for a clamshell case is still available to buy for only $29 before post and packaging. Another run of the game in a box is available for pre-order but it won’t ship until the 1st of January 2017.
A surprise release from Data Discs has just been revealed! While the label had previously lead us to believe their next release would be the Panzer Dragoon soundtrack, the label has revealed a vinyl release for both the original Golden Axe and Golden Axe II soundtracks. Available on black, translucent gold and a limited edition translucent gold with purple swatches variant, the new release will go on sale this Saturday the 27th of August. Also included are 2 lithographic prints of the Japanese artwork.
