Infamous Japan exclusive Mega Drive shooter Undeadline is getting its first release in Western territories thanks to Retro-Bit and D4 Enterprise.
This new version of the game is fully translated into English and comes with the game itself, a slipcase, full colour manual, reversible cover and a set of art cards. It can be pre-ordered now through various online retailers like Limited Run and Strictly Limited Games.
A full list of retailers stocking the new Retro-Bit English release of Undeadline can be found on Retro-Bit’s official website. The game is expected to ship in quarter 4 2025.
Retro-bit recently re-released Mega Man: The Wily Wars for Mega Drive/SEGA Genesis and our guest contributor David Crint has written a brilliant analysis of the new packaging that goes into detail about what the collection offers alongside detailed analysis of the product’s quality. Please be aware that this feature contains no criticism of the actual software, with the focus being on the packaging of the collector’s edition re-release of Mega Man: The Wily Wars by Retro-bit and how it compares to the original release.
A surprise announcement from CES! Retro-Bit have revealed a prototype of a new SEGA Nomad with HDMI out.
The original SEGA Nomad was a North American exclusive portable Mega Drive that featured an LCD display, 6 button control setup, an extra controller port and support for composite out video.
There aren’t many details on this new Nomad outside of the news of it across channels such as Rewarded Play including a HDMI out for high definition displays and the 3 images at the top, which also show a PAL/NTSC switch for playing games from multiple regions. We don’t know if the emulation is accurate, the screen is improved or even if another controller port is included at this time.
It is also worth nothing that the new Nomad is a prototype and has likely not been greenlit by SEGA themselves. Retro-Bit are likely showcasing this prototype to gain interest in developing the product at a later date. This is a very interesting development that we hope gets approval from SEGA. It would be fantastic to own a modern portable Mega Drive solution without having to dish out the sort of collector’s prices that an original SEGA Nomad now sells for.

As you can see, the previously announced Dreamcast controllers are no longer listed, even after previously being showcased at CES 2018. Could the Dreamcast controllers be coming later? Retro-Bit’s press release does mention that the controllers listed above are a part of the “first line” of controllers, so it could be the case that the Dreamcast controllers come in the second line.
