Ben Huskins and Mark Webley from Two Point have revealed the first in-game footage of Two Point Hospital; the new hospital management sim from this new studio that features ex-Bullfrog staff – the developers of the original Theme Hospital. Two Point Hospital is due for release on PC later this year and will be the first title from the newly formed Two Point studio.
Yakuza 6 will feature a new mini-game which allows players to create a clan by recruiting people Kiryu fights with. Once you’ve got a clan together, you can take them to the streets for huge strategic fights with hundreds of characters. The fights can even be taken online so you can challenge other custom clans. The lovely people over at ThrowBack Tokyo have recorded some extensive off-screen footage of House of the Dead: Scarlet Dawn in action at the recent location test in Akihabara. As the footage shows, it’s very much the House of the Dead sequel we’ve all been waiting for, complete with campy voice acting and over-the-top, zombie-shooting action. Like The House of Dead 4, the violence has been toned down somewhat, with the zombies now burning away when they’re dispatched. In the latest trailer for Yakuza 6: The Song of Life we get a good look at the various mini-games that feature in the new game. There’s lots of returning games like the batting cages, darts and various arcade titles, but we also get new games like underwater hunting, workouts and looking after babies! If you haven’t subscribed to GameHut yet then sort that out right now because Jon Burton of Traveller’s Tales has been revealing some fascinating prototypes of Sonic R, Sonic 3D: Flickies’ Island, Puggsy and Toy Story. Now Burton has gone a step further and explained one of the weirdest little quirks about Sonic 3D – it’s infamous level select glitch. People have wondered for ages why if you wobble or hit the Sonic 3D cartridge while its in the Mega Drive and turned on, why it instantly displays the game’s level select menu. Burton has all the answers and you can learn exactly what’s causing this by watching the video below:
A new headline news video has been released that details the new features in Football Manager 2018 but in a faux-sports news fashion. It’s a cute little video that you can watch below.
The new features appearing in this year’s Football Manager are:
– new visuals in the match engine
– changes to the scouting system
– improvements to the stadium designs and match presentation
– greater depth to the sports science and tactics
Football Manager 2018 will be released on the 10th of November 2017 on PC.
A new extended 6 minute trailer of Hokuto Ga Gotoku has also gone live. This new title based on the Fist of the North Star series is being developed by the Yakuza Studio and is due for release on PS4 on the 22nd of February 2018 in Japan. Check out the new trailer by clicking below:
Hokuto Ga Gotoku is currently only due for a Japanese release. A Western release has not been confirmed at this time.
A new mobile Yakuza title called Yakuza Online is in the works for iOS, Android and PC. This new title sees you playing as a new character called Kasuga Ichiban and is a free-to-play affair with optional micro-transactions. You can see the game in action by clicking below:
Yakuza Online is due for release in Japan at some point in 2018. There is currently no word on a Western release at this time.
