It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything regarding the Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX remake by Merge Games, so it’s extremely exciting to hear that it’s finally got a release date of June 24th 2021. You can check out the latest trailer for the game below:
Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX releases on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch on June 24th 2021. The game features a new art style, new stages, new modes and “alternative” boss fights as well as the option to switch between the new art style and the original look of the Master System game.
Physical copies of the game are being sold via Signature Edition and special edition versions with an art book, pin badges, a CD soundtrack and more goodies are also being sold. Click here to browse the selection at Signature Edition.
A brand new PC port of Dizzy the Adventurer based on an unreleased Mega Drive port has been released thanks to the wonderful efforts of The Dizzy Fansite.
This port of Dizzy the Adventurer was originally scheduled for release in a Mega Drive compilation called The Excellent Dizzy Collection, but it was unfortunately cancelled due to time constraints. The compilation would only release on Game Gear and Master System in November 1993.
This completed PC port of the previously unreleased Mega Drive port of Dizzy the Adventurer is available to purchase now from The Dizzy Fansite’s Itch page. It costs a minimum of £10 to purchase.
Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster has received a brand new trailer and a confirmation of the game’s release date. The game will arrive on PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch on May 25th 2021. Check out the latest trailer below:
Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne was originally released on PS2 back in February 2003. The HD Remaster will be based on the later Maniax Chronicle Edition of the game that originally released in October 2008.
A UK distributor for the Astro City Mini has finally been confirmed and it’s Funstock to the rescue! The Astro City Mini is only available in the UK in two configurations; the base console is available for £129.99 or a version with 2 gamepads is available for £189.99. The Astro City Mini is released Stateside thanks to Limited Run Games on March 26th 2021. 3500 units will release in this territory with new localised English packaging. There is currently no word as to whether this will mean the US ROMs for the included games are being used, but seeing how the Japanese Astro City Mini has English language support we’re assuming that the only difference is with the system’s packaging.
The Astro City Mini will launch for $129.99 and an additional controller can be purchased for $27.99 as well as the “Style Kit” which turns the whole unit into a miniature arcade cabinet complete with chair, base and top board for $39.99. The full size joystick that was also available to the Japanese market doesn’t appear to be available from Limited Run.

The PS5 version of Yakuza: Like a Dragon lands today! This version of the title offers 4K resolution support as well as a locked 60fps framerate. Loads times should also be dramatically reduced across the board.
PS4 owners can now also upgrade to the PS5 version free of charge. Simply navigate to the game’s page on the PS5 dashboard and select “Upgrade” on the right-hand side of the screen. Unfortunately, saves cannot be transferred from PS4 to PS5, so a new game will have to be started from scratch.

A new SEGA 60th soundtrack release is on the way courtesy of SEGA music maestro Hiroshi Kawaguchi. This new ‘Go SEGA 60th Anniversary Album’ will feature 4 discs of classic SEGA music and 108 songs, all chosen by Hiro himself.
The CD boxset will be available from the 24th of March 2021 in Japan only. It will retail for 6,460 yen which currently converts to around £43.45 in British sterling.

The Total War YouTube has given us our first look at the Fates Divided chapter pack coming to Total War Three Kingdoms of March 11th 2021. The new chapter pack brings “significant improvements to several existing mechanics” as well as the following features:
– The tumultuous 200 CE start date
– A new cross-generational faction playable in 190 CE, 194 CE, and 200 CE
– Over 20 new units, including formidable Northern Army units
– Unique missions and narrative events
– Additional mechanics added to your favourite factions
– New systems and mechanics to improve overall gameplay
