The latest Jet Set Radio port that has appeared on XBLA and PSN is now available on iOS in New Zealand. A Western release is expected at midnight tonight.
The iOS version will be available for £2.99 in the UK and $4.99 in the US.
This version is controlled through virtual controls as iOS devices don’t have buttons. You can also take photos and use them as in-game graffiti tags.
Dreamcast classic Jet Set Radio is getting a portable release on iOS and Android mobile devices as well as PS Vita this month.
The PS Vita version will launch on the 20th of November while the iOS and Android versions will show themsevles on the 29th of November.
North American PS Vita owners also get a special privilege if they’re subscribed to Playstation Plus. Jet Set Radio will be free for North American Playstation Plus subscribers from November 20th to December 31st.
IGN have revealed a selection of new information as well as a new trailer for Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.
The major news is the reveal of Joe Hisashi, the legendary ninja from the Shinobi series as a playable character. Gillius Thunderhead from the Golden Axe series returns to the series as well after previously appearing in SEGA Superstars Tennis. There will also be an accompanying Golden Axe track called Adder’s Lair.
Also revealed is that Shadow the Hedgehog will make a playable return in this title as well as the Jet Set Radio Tokyo-To track which now features a turf war between rival gangs that affects the race.
The HD port of Jet Set Radio originally set for release this summer on XBLA, PSN and Steam is now coming to Playstation Vita.
The Vita version will include touchscreen controls and camera integration that is exclusive to this port. We assume this will be used for the tagging in the game and creating your own tags but this hasn’t been confirmed at this time.
The game will also be playable at this year’s E3 event at the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 5th to the 7th. There is currently no word in regards to when this version of Jet Set Radio will release or if it will come out on the same day as the XBLA/PSN/Steam releases.
