Developed from the ground up by Hez, this fangame pays homage to Sonic’s Mega Drive era. Taking influence from all Sonic’s 16 bit titles, Sonic the Hedgehog Classic is an entirely original game that looks and plays exactly as you’d imagine a Mega Drive Sonic game should. Check out this sexy trailer that gives you an insight to the full game: A demo of the game is still available here. Hez hopes to release the full game before the end of 2010. It has a remarkably loyal fanbase who do some incredible things like add extra LEDs, create custom paint-jobs, cut shapes in the cases as well as add windows in the disc cover. This amazing mod features a completely hand cut Skies of Arcadia symbol which is illuminated with extra blue LEDs that sit in the disc tray. The whole thing is completed with a lovely, gloss finish. This is truely a sight to behold: [Source: SEGAShiro] Video Spotlight: Shogun 2 Total War AssassinationOctober 6th, 2010[Source: SEGA Tags: shogun 2 total war, trailer, video spotlight Video Spotlight: Vanquish Weapons TrailerOctober 6th, 2010[Source: SEGA] Tags: trailer, vanquish, video spotlight Fan Scene: Make Your Own Mega Drive Version of Sonic 4September 27th, 2010I love stuff like this. SEGA Addicts have put together a set of graphics you can print at home and insert in an old Mega Drive game to magically transform it into a Mega Drive copy of Sonic the Hedgehog 4! Of course, you won’t be able to play Sonic 4 on your Mega Drive but it won’t half look awesome next to your copies of Sonic 1, 2, 3 and Knuckles!

Then SEGA of Japan’s web-team accidentally leak news of Valkyria Chronicles 3! Well, I suppose it isn’t a leak. What’s happened is that SOJ published a GIF image showing SEGA’s Tokyo Game Show line-up. Some clever-clogs has decided to replace the extension to a JPG instead and discovered another image showing the TGS line-up with the ‘mystery’ slot replaced with ‘Valkyria Chronicles 3′. Internet users still amaze me. No word on whether this will be a PSP or PS3 release but I’m sure we’ll get the full scoop when TGS rolls around. Exciting times indeed! [Source: SEGABits] |
