Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is finally making its’ way to PC on January 31st and to celebrate SEGA have announced the addition of 3 PC exclusive characters. The new characters are a manager from Football Manager, a Shogun from Total War: Shogun and a trio of characters from Team Fortress 2; 1 for each transformation (Heavy for boat, Pyro for car and Spy for plane). Star Strike and Bug Blasters are 2 Mega-CD games released long after the console’s demise. Their original print ocurred in 2001 in an extremely limited European run of 5 copies each by Good Deal Games. A user called mr_gibbage over at Retro Collect has managed to secure the rights to the games and has produced a much larger run of 100 copies which is available to purchase from eBay now. The games are on-rails/FMV shooters in the same vain of games like Cobra Command and Sewer Shark. Click here to be taken to the listing. Aliens: Colonial Marines will not be making it to the Wii-U on February 12th. SEGA have insisted that Aliens: Colonial Marines was never due for release on the Wii-U on February 12th. Eurogamer have quoted SEGA saying, “the Wii U version is due out in the Wii U launch window”. The Wii-U launch window runs up to March 2013. SEGA have not released a hard release date for the Wii-U version of Aliens: Colonial Marines at this time. The first screenshot of the new Dreamcast shmup Ghost Blade has been revealed and you can see it above. Hucast have also revealed some more detail behind the screenshot: “You can see a huge bomb in the middle of the screen that is part of a “bomb style” mode. The player ship shoots out bullets in front and back direction to blast off enemies all around the screen. You can see a life stock and a hiscore display in the left corner, and since this is a competition type of shooter we’ll have an online leaderboard (very important feature we forgot to mention yet!) as well.” Ghost Blade is a new vertical shmup from Hucast, the team responsible for Dux and its’ upcoming sequel Redux: Dark Matters.
