Project Diva X Coming to the US in Autumn 2016

Thursday, March 31st, 2016

SEGA America will be bringing Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X to the US in Autumn 2016 for both PS Vita and PS4.

The latest title in the franchise only launched on PS Vita in Japan earlier this month, while the Japanese PS4 version was also scheduled for the third quarter of 2016 anyway. This could mean a worldwide release is scheduled for this title, similar to the launch of Project Mirai DX on 3DS. However, there is no official word on a European release at this time.

You can check out the announcement trailer below:

The European version of Yakuza 0 is planned to arrive in, “early 2017”. The game will launch as both a physical and digital release on PS4, which makes a nice change considering Yakuza 5 was a digital only release.

Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice to Launch on September 27th

Monday, March 21st, 2016

sonicboomfire

It’s been a long time since we heard anything about the delayed follow-up to Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal, but Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice finally has a new release date of September 27th.

The game was previously delayed because SEGA America wanted to make a game that “fans will continue to play for years after they pick up the game”. SEGA also promised it would “be a stronger, more enjoyable experience” thanks to the extended development period.

There is no new footage or screens to show at the moment, but you can guarantee we’ll be sharing any the moment they drop.

The event was announced at a recent Sonic the Hedgehog retrospective panel at SXSW. Sonic the Hedgehog social media guru Aaron Webber also hinted at another Sonic game reveal for the event but wouldn’t commit to a definite, “there will be a new Sonic game announcement at this event” so take those comments with a pinch of salt.

European Special Edition of Valkyria Chronicles Remastered Announced

Tuesday, March 8th, 2016

europaedition

SEGA Europe have revealed a ‘Europa Edition’ for Valkyria Chronicles Remastered.

The European special edition will come with an A3 poster of the game’s cast and an exclusive ‘The Art of Valkyria Chronicles’ art book. On top of that, you also get all the previously released DLC with the game as standard. That’s a pretty nifty package if I do say so myself.

Pricing hasn’t been revealed yet but Valkyria Chronicles Remastered launches in Europe on the 17th of May for PS4.

SEGA Taking on Fan Feedback to Help “Make Their Games Better”

Tuesday, March 1st, 2016

segasurvey

SEGA are now running a new survey which you can get involved in by clicking here.

The company are specifically looking for fan feedback in order to, “make their games better”. There’s a whole host of questions in this survey that ask what your favourite SEGA franchises are (both old and new) as well as your involvement with things like mobile gaming. They’ve also hilariously listed House of the Dead and The House of the Dead as separate entries. Oh SEGA.

This survey is certainly an interesting development that fans of the publisher will want to get involved in. As we have previously mentioned in the past in our Yakuza 0 and the Disparity Between SEGA America and Europe article, SEGA’s Western divisions don’t seem to communicate with consumers very well and an opportunity to give feedback in this survey may help improve matters in the future.
