A huge update has been made to our SEGA Music Catalogue. If you head into our Merchandise section and click the Music link you will see an extended and far tidier music index. The index is now organised by album title for easier searching and each entry now has its own separate page full of trivia, scans and a track list.
New additions to the catalogue include:
Alex Kidd Complete Album
The Best of Crush 40 – Super Sonic Songs
Complete Trinity: Sonic Heroes – Original Soundtrax
We will be continuing to add to this section throughout the week and hope to add music that contains SEGA references as well as bonus CDs that come free with special edition games. Watch this space!
MegaDriver have uploaded their entire live set from MagFest 12. The show includes a huge setlist of various video game themes rearranged in the band’s signature heavy metal style. SEGA highlights include music from Revenge of the Shinobi, Sonic the Hedgehog, Altered Beast, Golden Axe and Out Run. Check it out below:
MegaDriver’s appearance at MagFest 12 was their first show outside of Brazil ever. An mp3 “bootleg” version of the show will appear on MegaDriver’s website for free download soon.
Ryu Ga Gotoku Ishin (AKA Yakuza Restoration) will run at 60fps on PS4. The series has never run this smooth in any of its current generation iterations (Yakuza 3, 4, 5 or Kenzan!) marking a first for the series.
More confirmed details include the map being linked to the touch-pad on the Dualshock 4, the light-bar flashing when you take damage and remote play being available to PS Vita owners.
Ryu Ga Gotoku Ishin launches in Japan on February 22nd for PS3 and PS4. A Western release has not been confirmed.
Hero Bank, the upcoming RPG/fighter for the 3DS will be getting its own anime series in Japan. The series starts broadcasting in April, only a month after the games Japanese release.
Hero Bank is currently Japan exclusive but here’s hoping SEGA West pull their finger out and start giving us some new games to play. The game launches on March 20th.
Chinese-developed arcade racer Storm Racer G will be making a UK appearance at the EAG Expo next week. The game is being developed by Wahlap with SEGA Amusements publishing and it looks pretty old school in its appearance and gameplay. The crashes are of the Outrun 2 variety (launching you into the air dramatically) and the graphics look a bit Dreamcasty.
