The Sonic Amateur Games Expo is set to return next year! The great news is the Sonic fangaming show will also be returning to its original bi-annual format with the first show taking place from February 23rd to March 1st. The 2nd show has yet to have a date set in stone, but if past SAGEs have taught me anything then it’s a safe bet to place it around August/September time. More on that as we get it.
Full details about the next SAGE can be found at Sonic Fan Games HQ as well as a complete set of guidelines for booth registration. Registrations must be completed by February 15th 2014.

More additional features for Ryu Ga Gotoku Ishin have been revealed. The game will feature an in depth farming mechanic which allows you to grow 20 different vegetables and crops. These can cooked at home for health perks or sold for profit at the local market.
Fishing returns to the franchise and plays similarly to SEGA Bass Fishing. Multiple lures will have to be tried to test their effectiveness with different fish. Fish can also be cooked or sold similarly to your crops.
The final addition is that of pets. Stray dogs and cats can be taken in with a limit of 3 pets to your household. Keeping them happy means that on occasion they might fetch a rare item for you.

One of SEGA’s latest arcade endeavors is the on-rails shooter Transformers: Human Alliance which was directed by Mr. Oga-Shi who is also responsible for such light-gun classics as Gunblade, Jurassic Park: The Lost World and Let’s Go Jungle & Island.
That last part is important because like those games there’s an awful lot of campy humour present in Transformers: Human Alliance as with the aforementioned games. Check out the new trailer to see what I’m on about:
Transformers: Human Alliance is available in certain arcades now as orders are already available.

Bet you weren’t expecting that headline? Well that’s what you’re getting!
Some talented animator on YouTube under the name of “sasi sage” has created a series of fan animations that revolve around Sonic the Hedgehog characters appearing in a magical girl anime called “Suite Sonicure”. Trust me, I know it sounds bizarre but just take a look at the quality of these shorts:
An additional 3 shorts can be found here, here and here.
