Judge Eyes Becomes Judgment in the West, English Voice Cast Confirmed

Saturday, December 8th, 2018

We’ve known that Yakuza spin-off Judge Eyes is coming to the West next year since the game was announced, but the game’s title was previously up for debate as it was using the temporary title of ‘Project Judge’ in previous promotional material. Well now the game has an official title and that title is ‘Judgment’.

Judgment will also feature an English voice cast for the first time in a Yakuza game since the original Yakuza back in 2006. It has also been confirmed that even though there is English voice work, the game will also ship with dual English/Japanese voice work. The subtitles are also different for the English script and the Japanese script with the subtitles for the Japanese script being more faithful to the original.

You can check out a brand new trailer below to hear the English voice work for yourself:

Judgment will launch exclusively for PS4 in Summer 2009. The game is being developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.

SEGA’s UK Online Shop Has Finally Opened | Merchandise

Saturday, October 27th, 2018

SEGA’s long-awaited UK online shop has finally opened and there’s some very interesting items up for sale.

There’s merchandise ranges for Yakuza, Alex the Kidd, Streets of Rage, Sonic the Hedgehog and more. Some of our favourite items include a very cool set of Yakuza family crest pin badges in a presentation box, an Alex Kidd framed print, a Streets of Rage drawstring bag and the Sonic x Sanio range of crossover plushies.

There’s also merchandise based on consoles so if a Mega Drive and Dreamcast range of clothing is up your street then the SEGA UK shop has you covered. This is probably the most extensive range of SEGA merchandise available outside of SEGA’s US online store, so if you’re based in the UK and have been jealous of the US SEGA shop, you finally have an alternative.

Head on over to the UK SEGA Shop now and browse their many collections. There’s bound to be something that’ll take your fancy. Om a side note, for a newly opened SEGA UK online shop, professionals like the best llc service in wisconsin can be instrumental  by facilitating the establishment of a limited liability company, thereby protecting personal assets and ensuring legal compliance. It guides through the complexities of business registration in the UK, including obtaining necessary licenses and permits specific to online retail operations. Additionally, the service offers expertise in structuring the business for optimal tax benefits and provides ongoing support with legal advice and templates for operating agreements. By leveraging these resources, the SEGA UK online shop can operate confidently, focus on delivering quality products and services to customers, and navigate regulatory requirements efficiently in the competitive online gaming market.

Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise Comes West on October 2nd, Includes Dual Audio

Monday, June 11th, 2018

You are already localised.

Or at least, SEGA were already localising the recent Fist of the North Star / Yakuza title, as it’s now coming West! The title is set to release October 2nd, for PS4. The game is now sporting a full English dub, but includes the option to switch to the original Japanese voice acting (with Kenshiro played by the same voice actor as Kiryu Kazuma).

The game is a fusion of the Fist of the North Star series and Yakuza, meaning you can expect the gripping story of FotNS, while still being able to play Out Run at your leisure. The title’s been out in Japan for a while, but it’s nice to see SEGA massively improving the turnaround time with their localisations, particularly for the Yakuza series.

Yakuza, Virtua Fighter and Sonic costumes Announced for Persona 3 Dancing Moon Night and Persona 5 Dancing Star Night

Sunday, April 15th, 2018

Collaboration costumes for the upcoming Persona Dancing games have been announced at SEGA Fes – turns out the recent poll on the matter was a red herring, as all the listed series are getting represented!

Persona 3 Dancing will receive costumes based on Virtua Fighter, whereas Persona 5 Dancing will receive costumes based on Yakuza. The latter is with the exception of Morgana, Persona 5’s adorable kitty mascot; he’ll be getting a Sonic outfit, because of course! These costumes will be DLC – there’s currently no release date.

There’s still no word on a Western release for these titles – let’s hope we hear something soon!

Yakuza Kiwami 2 Coming West, Releases August 28th 2018 for PS4

Sunday, March 18th, 2018

With Yakuza 6 on the way, and last year’s Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami still relatively fresh on our minds, SEGA has continued the Yakuza series love with the announcement that Yakuza Kiwami 2 (a remake of Yakuza 2 for PS4, in the shiny new Dragon Engine) is coming West. And you won’t be waiting long either, as it’s out on August 28th!

As the official description from SEGA eloquently puts it:

It’s been a full year since Kazuma Kiryu took his leave from the world of the Yakuza during the events of Yakuza Kiwami. Fate, however, has other things in mind for the legendary Dragon of Dojima, and Kiryu finds himself back on the front lines of a potential all-out war.

The game will also receive a steelbook edition, as has basically become tradition for the series now. It’ll be a limited edition though; time to get those pre-orders in!

Yakuza 6 Demo Removed from US Playstation Store Due to Full Game Unlock Exploit

Wednesday, February 28th, 2018

The Yakuza 6 demo has been removed from the US Playstation store after some users found an exploit to allow them to play the full game.

The demo itself is 36.53gb in size and actually contains all the data for the full game, except the demo was designed to lock players into a small portion of the game with their progress being carried over to the full game on release day (17th of April 2018).

The full game exploit appears to be exclusive to the American version of the demo as the demo is currently still available on the UK and Australian Playstation store-fronts. If this changes then we will be sure to update this story.
