IGN have a treat for us today as the website has gone hands on with Streets of Rage 4 and uploaded 5 minutes of in-game action. Check out the entire roster in action, including the unlockable retro characters in the video below:

Streets of Rage 4 is not mucking about when it comes to bonus content. The latest trailer reveals that the game will feature 12 unlockable retro characters and the ability to use music from the original Streets of Rage 1 & 2. Check out the reveal trailer for these retro unlockables below:
It also appears that the release of the game is getting pretty close. The trailer also promises the game will be “available soon” and that the digital release will be priced at $24.99. The unreleased SEGA Pluto is the stuff of legend. Only 2 exist in the wild and they are essentially prototype SEGA Saturns with built-in Netlink capabilities. This system was never released to the public. If you’d like to learn more about the system then please read our hardware article on the system which features images of both surviving Plutos.
One of the systems has now ended up on the desk of Ben Heck, famous for repairing the prototype Nintendo Playstation. His work on the system is minimal, but this tear-down video does offer some fascinating insight into the machine that Saturn fans should absolutely watch. Check it out below:
A new Streets of Rage 4 trailer is upon us, and with it brings news of a brand new, 5th playable character in the form of Floyd Iraia. Floyd is a big, heavy-hitting character in the style of Max from Streets of Rage 2, but with the wacky, mechanised arms of Dr. Zan from Streets of Rage 3. Check him out in action by watching the latest trailer below:
Alongside the news of Floyd’s addition to the character roster, Streets of Rage 4 will support 2 player online co-op and for the first time in the franchise, 4 player co-op action will be supported in local multiplayer. Streets of Rage 4 is due to release at some point in 2020 for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch.
It feels bizarre writing the words ‘Shenmue III launch trailer’ but it’s here and the game is nearly upon us. 18 years after the release of Shenmue II, we can finally experience the next chapter in Yu Suzuki’s open world opus. Click the embed below to watch the latest preview of Shenmue III in action:

A new “Behind the Gameplay” documentary on Streets of Rage 4 has been uploaded to the Dotemu YouTube channel and it offers some fascinating insight into the game’s development at Guard Crush Games as well as showcasing some new in-game footage. Check it out by watching the embed below:

After the negative reception of Sonic’s look in the first trailer for the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie, Paramount Pictures have gone back to the drawing board, delayed the film until February 2020 and given the visual effects team some extra time to redesign the character. We now have our first look at Sonic’s redesigned with this brand new trailer. Check it out below:
While the design still looks quite similar to the original, with Sonic having 2 separated eyes and lots of finer spines on his back, he definitely looks more like his game model with an overall cuter look and the addition of gloves instead of white fur on his hands. His shoes are also more comparable to those of the games as well.
The Sonic the Hedgehog movie will now launch on February 14th 2020. Ben Schwartz voices Sonic with James Marsden playing his police officer friend Tom and Jim Carrey taking the role of Dr. Robotnik.
The first in-game footage of Feral Interactive’s Alien: Isolation port to Switch is now available to view via the embed below and my word does it impress. It looks like very little graphical fidelity and resolution has been lost. Have a look for yourself:
Alien: Isolation for Switch is due to release this Winter as a digital download title from the Nintendo eShop. There is no hard release date available at this time. Alien: Isolation was originally developed by The Creative Assembly and released for PS3, Xbox 360, PC, PS4 and Xbox One back in October 2014.
