Previously announced as a mobile exclusive for iOS and Android devices, Sonic Rumble will now launch on PC as well as mobile this Winter 2024.
Sonic Rumble is a 32 player online battle royale game in the style of Fall Guys. The game looks fairly extensive for a multiplayer title with several modes that include Run, Survival, Hunt, Team and Ring Battle. A new compilation of SEGA Rally Championship music is being released by Wave Master for the game’s 30th anniversary. SEGA Rally Championship -30th Anniv. Album- releases on October 17th 2024 in Japan and features 2 discs containing the full arcade and Saturn soundtracks alongside bonus tracks.
The real highlights are 3 new additional arrangements that were orchestrated by Takenobu Mitsuyoshi and Kenichi Tokoi. These include new versions of the songs ‘My Dear Friend, Rally’, ‘Getting Muddy’ and ‘Desert Replay’.

The next entry in the Yakuza franchise has been revealed! This time Goro Majima gets lead billing in a real-time action title as opposed to Like a Dragon and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth which focused on turn-based combat.
Majima finds himself washed up on the shores of an island off the coast of Hawaii with no memory of who he is. With a new found need to protect the island natives from pirates, Majima himself takes the high seas and turns to a life of piracy when he defeats the captain of a ship. Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will release on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on February 28th 2025. Development is once again being handled by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.
SEGA and Limited Run Games are teaming up again for a range of Dreamcast merchandise to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the North American launch of the Dreamcast.
The headline item appears to be a line of trading cards. They are also selling sleevs, a binder, and a storage box for the trading cards as well.
The same X user who leaked footage of the new Shinobi game has also shared footage of a supposed 2022 build of the new multiplayer-focused Crazy Taxi. This new Crazy Taxi title is still in development which means it may look very different to this leaked footage considering its supposed age. Some footage reported to be of the introduction sequence as well as some in-game action of the upcoming untitled Shinobi game has leaked. There is no word on whether this footage is legit or not, but it’s an impressive offering that looks remarkably similar to the footage previously shown at the 2023 Game Awards. There is currently no word on the game’s official title, platforms it will release on or who is currently developing it at the time of writing.

While there is no official word on a developer at the time of writing, the art style is very similar to that of Dotemu, Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games’s Streets of Rage 4. Fingers crossed we get to see more of the game through official means very soon.

Yakuza Kiwami returns with a fresh port to the Nintendo Switch on October 24th 2024. This marks the first time the Like a Dragon franchise has made it to a Nintendo platform since the Japan exclusive Ryu Ga Gotoku 1&2 HD for Wii U released back in 2012. Check out the reveal trailer below:

While originally released in arcades first, Dreamcast favourites Power Stone 1&2, Capcom vs SNK 1&2 and Rival Schools sequel Project Justice are coming to PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch in 2025. These titles will form Capcom Fighting Collection 2 alongside Capcom Fighting Jam, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper and Plasma Sword. Check out the announcement trailer below:

The Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie promotional campaign is finally under way with this first trailer for the upcoming feature. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Tom are back to take on the previously teased Shadow the Hedgehog, who is being voiced by Keanu Reeves. Check it out below:
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 premieres in theaters in December 2024. Lee Majdoub returns as Agent Stone, Ben Schwartz returns as Sonic, Colleen O’Shaughnessey returns as Tails, Idris Elba returns as Knuckles, James Marsden returns as Tom, and Jim Carrey returns as Dr. Robotnik. Carrey will also play Dr. Robotnik’s father, Gerald Robotnik.
