Anarchy Reigns Charts at Number 16 in the UK

A great showing for the only new entry in the UK top 40; Platinum Games’ brawler Anarchy Reigns has made it to number 16 ahead of games like Resident Evil 6 and Forza 4.

Other SEGA games in the UK top 40 include Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed at 13, Sonic Generations at 28 and Mario & Sonic: London 2012 Olympic Games at 30.

SEGA Tunes: Splash Hill Medley by Jun Senoue

While we love the Sonic the Hedgehog 4 soundtrack, we missed hearing Jun Senoue’s signature guitar work in action. Luckily, the CD version of the soundtrack includes a very special arrangement of all 3 Splash Hill themes with additional instrumentation such as Senoue-san’s famous guitar work. If you haven’t experienced this then make yourself familiar!

The Conduit on its’ Way to Project Shield

The Conduit has made an unexpected appearance on Nvidia’s new Project Shield device.

A listing on TegraZone (Nvidia’s Android store) lists The Conduit as ‘TBA’. Representitives for Nvidia have also confirmed The Conduit is in development for Project Shield but didn’t supply anymore information outside of naming High Voltage Software as the developer.

Polygon (who made the discovery) asked both SEGA and High Voltage Software for comment but neither company have responded.

Video Spotlight: Gameplay Trailers for Osharemajo Love and Berry Tsuushin

How can you not like Japanese game development when they make games like this?

Osharemajo: Love and Berry Tsuushin is a Japanese arcade game that works with a series of trading cards. The game is aimed at girls between the ages of 6 and 12 and your first play gives you a card with a barcode which stores all your characters outfits, accessories and hairstyles. Once the characters are dressed the game then proceeds to a rhythm game where you tap a button in time with the tambourine on the screen.

Hucast Announce New Dreamcast Game ‘The Ghost Blade’

Hucast are a busy little developer! Fresh off the back of Redux: Dark Matters comes The Ghost Blade, a new “caravan shooting game” (whatever that means) for the Dreamcast.

Release Dates for Redux Dark Matters Content Revealed

The release dates for all items involved in the release of the new Dreamcast shmup Redux: Dark Matters have been detailed. Check them out below:

February 2013: delivery of MP3 soundtrack to all $25 backers. Fulfilment of all $25 to $55 pledges
April 2013: shipment of regular and limited edition steelcase versions of Redux Dark Matters as well as $1000 backer items

Samurai & Dragon to Feature Guest Appearances from Fate/Stay Night Franchise

SEGA’s Japanese exclusive PS Vita game Samurai & Dragons is a free-to-play, action and strategy MMO game that launched last year.

Since its’ launch it has included guest appearances from tonnes of SEGA characters via the inclusion of character cards which are used in the strategy sections.

The game now includes character cards from Fate/Stay Night franchise (Wikipedia tells me it’s a visual novel series). You can see a reveal image below as well as a trailer for the game:

SEGA Announce Free-to-Play Strategy Game Kingdom Conquest II

SEGA have revealed a new mobile strategy game called Kingdom Conquest II.

The game is card-based and pre-registering now gives players early access to 2 cards; the SR Monster Card and a High Orb Card.

The game is fully rendered in 3D and fights play out in real time. The game is coming out “soon” for iOS and Android devices.
