Sonic Adventure 2 Coming to XBLA/PSN

Tuesday, June 19th, 2012

Whoopsie! Someone at Xbox.com pressed the ‘ok’ button a bit too early and revealed 10 screenshots for Sonic Adventure 2 on X-Box Live Arcade and Playstation Network. SEGA haven’t officially announced the game but this entry on the site (which has now been removed) gives us all the proof we need.

The Playstation Network version is only confirmed because one of the screenshots shows the circle button on the dualshock controller which pretty much means a PSN port is obviously in the works.

The games also support a widescreen display. The usual achievements and trophies are expected. The release date listed on the website before it was taken down is October 3rd 2012.

Anarchy Reigns to be Released in the West in Quarter 1 2013

Monday, June 18th, 2012

After the scare that was brought on us by Platinum Games who revealed that the Western division of SEGA appeared to have gone silent regarding the release of Anarchy Games in Western territories despite being fully localised, the game finally has a new release window. Unfortunately despite the game coming out on July 5th in Japan (where it is known as Max Anarchy), the game will be released in the West in quarter 1 2013.

A SEGA representitive on Twitter announced today that “the release of Anarchy Reigns has been re-evaluated. We now expect to launch in Europe and America in Q1 of 2013.” No other reasons were given for the delay.

This news will obviously be bittersweet for fans of Platinum Games; while it’s obviously nice that the game will still be released in the West, it’s a bit of a shame we have to wait so long for a game that is already localised.

Good news for western Project Diva fans! The version of Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F being displayed at E3 is in fact completely in English. The title of the game has simply been changed to Hatsune Miku for this tech demo. There is still no word as to whether this means the game is coming to the west or if SEGA are attempting to gauge interest in the title.

There’s even direct-feed gameplay footage for those interested. Check it out:
