We’ve spoken about Game Grumps before and how it’s a great YouTube series featuring 2 funny men playing video games. JonTron and Egoraptor have now decided to tackle what is easily the lowest point in the Sonic series; Sonic the Hedgehog 2006. Check out the first video in the series below (WARNING: bad language and adult themes are featured heavily):
YouTube ArgyleDX has uploaded some classic SEGA trailers that were featured heavily at E3 1996. The most interesting of the lot is cancelled Sonic game Sonic Xtreme which would’ve been released for the Saturn. Also featured is beta footage of Sonic 3D Blast which shows a different design to the loops and floor-gates:
Next up we have a SEGA Saturn showcase reel which features a load of gameplay footage from various Saturn games like NiGHTS, Bug Too, Cyber Troopers Virtual-On and Fighting Vipers:
Finally we have the Mega Drive showcase reel which features X-Women, Bugs Bunny: Double Trouble and Vectorman 2:
The Sonic Show have got their hands on some gameplay footage of the 3DS version of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. It’s a bit short but at least we now know what the game is going to look like when the portable version finally rolls out:
On Tuesday The Community Spotlight revealed the first part of an interview with our host The Sonic Stadium. We’re now back for part 2 of this interview that sees Pete “Titanscreed” Nethercote interviewing Svend “Dreadknux” Joscelyne from The Sonic Stadium. Click below to listen to the final part:
Eurogamer have uploaded the full developer session for Total War: Rome 2 on YouTube. Presented by Jamie Russell, the session takes “an entertaining look at the development of Rome 2”. Watch the session below:
In what has to be one of the most bizarre advertising campaigns we’ve seen since the previous Monkey Ball one (you know, with the boobs), SEGA have revealed a collaboration with Random Encounters to release a 3 part Super Monkey Ball musical on YouTube. Yes, you heard that right. This is all in celebration of the release of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz on PS Vita.
If you feel like putting yourself through this horror then watch the first part below. Probably best you watch this alone and out of sight from other people/animals:
You may forget, but we are a part of a cool little network of websites hosted by our awesome buddies The Sonic Stadium and we’re very proud of this fact. So we’d like to point your attention to this new edition of The Community Spotlight that sees Pete “Titanscreed” Nethercote interviewing Svend “Dreadknux” Joscelyne from The Sonic Stadium! This is part 1 of a 2 part edition of The Community Spotlight so make sure you come back on Thursday to see the 2nd part:
Have you heard of Game Grumps yet? The YouTube game show features Jontron and Egoraptor sitting down together to play games and talk rubbish. While the concept has been done a million times before, Game Grumps manages to be a cut above the rest simply because the two men are so funny to listen to.
Most of the show has featured Nintendo games up until now. Now the pair are tackling Shenmue which is already producing some funny moments like Jontron losing his cool with the controls and Egoraptor singing along with the theme that plays in the Hazuki residence.
You can watch the first part below. Please be warned that Game Grumps features bad language and adult themes:
SEGA’s Japanese exclusive racing series Initial D is headed back to the arcades for a 7th installment (that’s right, 7! Any chance of a Western release for some of these games, please SEGA?). The game is called Initial D Arcade Stage 7 AAX (bit of a mouthful) and there’s a new trailer available to watch now:
