ChaosX’s Project 06 is back with its third major release. This fan-created Sonic 06 remaster features a whole raft up updates, enhancements and improvements to the original game, and with this latest release Silver’s full trial campaign is now available to play alongside Sonic and Shadow’s. The Sonic Hacking Contest returns on Monday 2nd December 2019 to Sunday 8th December. All games will be available from https://sonichacking.org and the public are able to vote for the Contest entries for Community Trophies. As usual there’ll be streams throughout the week from people such as redhotsonic, MegaGWolf, SomecallmeJohnny, AntDude, Garrulous64, DaveAce and many more. We will also be covering as many hacks and mods featured at the show over on our YouTube channel (click here and subscribe!).

This year hacks and mods are based on a wide variety of Sonic games including the original 16 bit titles, Sonic Mania, Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes and even Sonic the Hedgehog 06 and Shadow the Hedgehog.

Someone has gone and made a tech demo of Sonic running about in Unreal Engine 4. It’s a very early test with collision issues and some odd moments where Sonic runs on the spot but it’s certainly a technically impressive thing. Check it out:

Crush 40 have uploaded live footage of them playing ‘His World’, the theme to Sonic the Hedgehog ’06. The footage comes from the band’s complete line-up set in Tokyo, March 30th 2012. The song is also featured on Crush 40′s ‘LIVE!’ album which is available to purchase now. Check it out:
