We’ve made it pretty clear in the past that we have an awful lot of time for Game Grumps, the Let’s Play channel from Jontron and Egoraptor. Today, the duo have started a playthrough of Platinum Games’ masterpiece Bayonetta and as usual it creates some really funny moments. Please be warned, Game Grumps contains adult language and themes:
Plus XP are offering up various SEGA-related goodies that include a copy of Anarchy Reigns, Aliens: Colonial Marines DLC content as well as an Aliens: Colonial Marines t-shirt and bandana.
Anarchy Reigns is making its’ way to the Playstation Network today. The Platinum Games-developed brawler can be bought and downloaded to your PS3 hard-drive for £19.99.
Check out the below video showcasing a behind-the-scenes look at Bayonetta 2 from the recent Nintendo Direct event. The video gives us a glimpse of some concept art as well as locations and enemies from the game as well as the usual hype from Platinum Games:
Bayonetta will be re-released via the Playstation Network on January 30th. The Platinum Games epic will be available to download for £14.99.
There is currently no word about whether the long loading times of the original PS3 release will be cured in the PSN version. We’re hoping that they’re at least shorter due to the entire game being installed on your hard-drive for direct access.
SEGA has successfully won Relic Entertainment (developers of Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War and Space Marine) meaning it now has control of both the Warhammer license and Warhammer 40K license. SEGA paid a whopping $26.6 million.
In other news, Platinum Games has shown an interest in buying the Vigil studio who own the rights to the Darksiders franchise. This is an interesting move in that Platinum Games’ Bayonetta was released the same week as the original Darksiders.
Platinum Games head honcho Atsushi Inaba tweeted: “In THQ studio and IP selling off auction, Darksiders is unsold? [We] wanna buy it…on the cheap…”
The Vigil studio was not put up for auction with the other THQ franchises which could mean that Platinum Games make a deal with THQ out of auction for the lower price that Inaba-san is talking about.
Anarchy Reigns may already be out on PS3 and X-Box 360 but that isn’t stopping SEGA and their hype-train! SEGA have just uploaded a trailer outlining the action trigger events that occur in the game. Check it out below:
A great showing for the only new entry in the UK top 40; Platinum Games’ brawler Anarchy Reigns has made it to number 16 ahead of games like Resident Evil 6 and Forza 4.
Other SEGA games in the UK top 40 include Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed at 13, Sonic Generations at 28 and Mario & Sonic: London 2012 Olympic Games at 30.
