A new “Behind the Gameplay” documentary on Streets of Rage 4 has been uploaded to the Dotemu YouTube channel and it offers some fascinating insight into the game’s development at Guard Crush Games as well as showcasing some new in-game footage. Check it out by watching the embed below:
Streets of Rage 4 will release on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch at some point in 2020. The game is being developed by Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games with Dotemu publishing under license from SEGA.
In our latest video on our YouTube channel, we take a look at the recently released first demo of Noah Copeland’s Sonic Triple Trouble remake. Click the embed below to see the game in action alongside our thoughts and first impressions:
Owners of Valkyria Chronicles 4 on Steam are in for a treat, as the game has now been rebranded to the Complete Edition – even for those who already bought it!
The Complete Edition replaces the listing for the original release, and comes in at £39.99 – except now, you also get all of the DLC included in that price. And if that wasn’t enough, SEGA’s gone back and applied this retroactively to anyone who already purchased the game! So picked up Valkyria Chronicles 4 at launch and wish you’d waited for the Complete Edition? No need – you get all of the DLC for free!
It’s pretty generous to say the least, and a welcome move from SEGA. We can’t remember the last time ‘Game of the Year’ or ‘Complete Edition’ goodies got retroactively given to existing customers, so it’s a pleasant surprise.

UPDATE
The event has not gone live yet. It is due to go live on the 20th of November 2019 as per details on the Phantasy Star Online 2 news page.
ORIGINAL STORY
Japanese Phantasy Star Online 2 players have a real treat on their hands as the game now features a crossover event with the Evangelion franchise.
The event features a mission based on the famous Ramiel battle where the fifth angel drills into Tokyo-3 in order to get to NERV headquarters. You can also equip your character with costumes based on Unit-01, Shinji, Rei, Asuka and Misato and there’s a choice of 4 weapon skins with one taking the form of the Lance of Longinus.
You can see all of this in action in the trailer below:
Phantasy Star Online 2 is still Japan-exclusive, but a North American released is scheduled for 2020 on Xbox One and PC. There is still no word on whether the game will release in Europe.
The Panzer Dragoon: Remake being developed by MegaPixel Studio S.A. and published by Forever Entertainment had previously been confirmed as coming to the Nintendo Switch and PC, but we now have official confirmation that the PC version will be distributed via Steam. You can wishlist the game now. The Steam store page for Panzer Dragoon: Remake also lists the release date as “This Winter”, confirming a Winter 2019 release is currently planned.
Panzer Dragoon: Remake is not the only SEGA remake in development under publisher Forever Entertainment. Panzer Dragoon Zwei is also getting the remake treatment alongside remakes of the original 2 The House of the Dead titles.
SEGA has released a new “Special Announcement” trailer for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD. It confirms the monkeys will have alternate costumes in the game, including some referencing other games in the series, such as Baby’s Secret Agent costume from Super Monkey Ball 3D for the 3DS.
But the real special announcement here is the confirmation of one of the worst kept secrets in recent SEGA memory – Sonic the Hedgehog has been added to the game as an unlockable character, in his Classic design! This was actually leaked three times, first through achievements that referred to him and then through a datamine of the recently released Japanese demo, and finally just earlier today through a leaked trailer. However we now have official confirmation, and our first look at him in action! There’s no word on how to unlock him in the game as of yet, but given this is Monkey Ball we can’t imagine it’ll be a walk in the park.
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD launches October 29th for Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4 and Xbox One, with a PC port coming later in Winter.

The next Total War game takes the strategy action to Greece for Troy: A Total War Saga. While there isn’t any in-engine footage to showcase at this time, a lovely pre-rendered cinematic has landed on the Total War YouTube channel which gives you a taste for the game’s setting. Check it out below:
The Tokyo Games Show is underway and with it comes a fresh Shenmue III trailer. In this video we get a detailed look at some of the environments in and around the Bailu Village in Guilin. Check it out below:
Shenmue III is in development at Yu Suzuki’s Ys Net studio and is due out for PC and PS4 on November 19th 2019.
