Looks like SEGA are gearing up for a new Sonic release! SEGA of Japan have trademarked the name “Sonic Lost World” while SEGA of Europe and registered the URL www.soniclostworlds.com. No word on what this trademark and URL relate to but speculation is already pointing to the next, major Sonic release. More on this as we get it. The new Project Diva game that was being teased on Monday is Hatsune Miku and Future Stars: Project Mirai 2 for 3DS according to scans from this week’s Famitsu. The first Project Mirai game was released in March last year and acts as a cutesy spin-off based on the Nendoroid line of vocaloid figurines. The Creative Assembly have dropped a bombshell and that’s the news of free-to-play, online multiplayer game, Total War Arena. The new Total War game allows 10 vs 10 player matches and control of 3 army units of up to 500 men. Sounds a bit mad if you ask me. No release dates have been announced at this time, but we’re assuming this will be a PC release that could be either a browser-based game or a Steam release. More on this as we get it. Famitsu have done a silly and leaked information about the game SEGA are teasing via this website. The PS3/PS Vita game was not due to be officially announced until Thursday but the Famitsu leak suggests we have a new entry in the Let’s Make a Soccer Team! franchise. Bit of anti-climax eh? In a bizarre sequence of events, Games Workshop have announced a partnership with Slitherine who will create a new Warhammer 40K game. SEGA’s acquisition of Relic Entertainment appears to mean that the publisher has not acquired its’ IPs outside of Company of Heroes 2. But at the moment this is still speculation. SEGA may well own the Dawn of War license but it’s a strange move that Games Workshop would want two developers working on 40K games. More on this as we get it.
