Well this is an odd one: following the disappearance of Imageepoch’s CEO Ryoei Mikage last month, the company have now filed for bankruptcy. The bankruptcy is apparently unrelated to Mikage’s disappearance and is blamed on a fall in company’s profits due to a sales slump. This was made worse by the rising cost of development.
There is no mention as to what will happen to the release of Imageepoch’s upcoming game Stella Glow which SEGA Japan are due to publish in June. I’d hazard a guess that unless the game had already gone gold, Stella Glow is likely cancelled.

The first gameplay footage of 3D Streets of Rage 2 has been revealed and guess what? It looks like Streets of Rage 2 in 3D! Watch the gameplay footage below:
3D Streets of Rage 2 launches on the 3DS eShop in July. It will be followed by the release of 3D Gunstar Heroes and 3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
The latest trailer for Imageepoch’s Stella Glow has arrived and it features some of the most detailed gameplay footage of the game so far. The game plays similarly to the Nobunaga’s Ambition series which means the standard RPG combat is paired with strategy elements. Check out the 6 minute trailer below:
Stella Glow is released on the 4th of June on 3DS. The game is currently Japan exclusive but Atlus have confirmed a North American release for later this year. There is no word on a European version at this time.
SEGA have announced another wave of 3D classics for the 3DS eShop. The new titles are 3D Sonic the Hegdehog 2, 3D Streets of Rage 2 and 3D Gunstar Heroes.
These games will arrive in the summer after the remaining season 2 games are released. 3D Fantasy Zone II is due to release tomorrow while 3D Thunder Blade launches on May 14th. 3D Streets of Rage 2 will then come first in July while 3D Gunstar Heroes and 3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will follow in August and September respectively.
Each game in the SEGA 3D classics range costs £4.49 a piece and they’ve all been exemplary ports so far. The games have been ported by M2 who feature ex-Treasure staff.
Bandai Namco, Capcom and SEGA team up once again for another edition of Project X Zone! The sequel to the 3DS crossover RPG will be making its way west in the Autumn of this year. The game now features Resident Evil characters, Mega Man characters, Soulcalibur characters and Yakuza characters (our personal favourites). While Rodea the Sky Soldier won’t be published in the West by SEGA, the game’s origins lie with ex-SEGA developer Yuji Naka. His new studio Prope developed the original Wii version of the game before it was shelved. The game was then remade for Wii U and 3DS but limited edition versions of the Wii U game will now come with Prope’s original Wii version which varies slightly to the Wii U and 3DS games. The Wii version has a greater score attack focus (similar to Naka’s NiGHTS into dreams…) which is at odds with the Wii U and 3DS’ focus on exploration. Rodea the Sky Soldier is released in the West on the 25th of September through NIS America. Day one editions of the Wii U version will come with the Wii game as a bonus disc.
Hear that? That’s the sound of me weeping into a pillow at the thought of Japanese 3DS owners being able to purchase this incredible new theme based on the Dreamcast (as well as many other retro SEGA consoles). The current range of SEGA console themes for 3DS are sadly exclusive to Japan at the moment. Fingers crossed they eventually make it West.
SEGA Japan have revealed a new strategy RPG called Stella Glow and it’s being developed by Imageepoch for the 3DS. Imageepoch have worked with SEGA on RPGs in the past as they were responsible for Sands of Destruction and 7th Dragon on the DS.

You can now grab the latest port of the SEGA AM2 arcade-driving classic from the 3DS eShop and we suggest that you do because M2 have done a marvelous job in making this the definitive version of the game (and it’s portable!). The worldwide release dates for 3DS rhythm game Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX have finally been announced. The dates are listed below for each region:
North America: May 26th
Japan/Korea: May 28th
Europe: May 29th

Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX is an expanded version of Project Mirai 2 and was developed in collaboration with Good Smile Company who are famous for creating the nendoroid line of vocaloid figurines.
