The Sonic X Shadow Generations promotional campaign is really picking up speed with a new story trailer for the game, and an extended teaser trailer for the Dark Beginnings 3 episode prologue series.
The new story trailer for Sonic X Shadow Generations shows more of Shadow’s past with Maria and Gerald Robotnik, as well as the resurgence of Black Doom. We also get a fresh look at stages from Sonic Frontiers and Sonic Forces amongst others. Check it out:
The Sonic X Shadow Generations: Dark Beginnings 3 episode prologue series will start tomorrow September 25th 2024. A further 2 episodes will premiere on October 3rd and October 10th, and we’ve got a fresh look at the series via the teaser trailer that you can watch below. Previously announced as a mobile exclusive for iOS and Android devices, Sonic Rumble will now launch on PC as well as mobile this Winter 2024.
Sonic Rumble is a 32 player online battle royale game in the style of Fall Guys. The game looks fairly extensive for a multiplayer title with several modes that include Run, Survival, Hunt, Team and Ring Battle. Sonic Rumble launches Winter 2024 on PC, iOS and Android devices. No developer has been publically named at the time of writing.
The same X user who leaked footage of the new Shinobi game has also shared footage of a supposed 2022 build of the new multiplayer-focused Crazy Taxi. This new Crazy Taxi title is still in development which means it may look very different to this leaked footage considering its supposed age. Some footage reported to be of the introduction sequence as well as some in-game action of the upcoming untitled Shinobi game has leaked. There is no word on whether this footage is legit or not, but it’s an impressive offering that looks remarkably similar to the footage previously shown at the 2023 Game Awards. There is currently no word on the game’s official title, platforms it will release on or who is currently developing it at the time of writing.

While there is no official word on a developer at the time of writing, the art style is very similar to that of Dotemu, Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games’s Streets of Rage 4. Fingers crossed we get to see more of the game through official means very soon.

The Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie promotional campaign is finally under way with this first trailer for the upcoming feature. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Tom are back to take on the previously teased Shadow the Hedgehog, who is being voiced by Keanu Reeves. Check it out below:
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 premieres in theaters in December 2024. Lee Majdoub returns as Agent Stone, Ben Schwartz returns as Sonic, Colleen O’Shaughnessey returns as Tails, Idris Elba returns as Knuckles, James Marsden returns as Tom, and Jim Carrey returns as Dr. Robotnik. Carrey will also play Dr. Robotnik’s father, Gerald Robotnik.
A new Sonic X Shadow Generations trailer has dropped and this time it puts the focus squarely on Shadow’s new Doom powers that he inherits from Black Doom. Shadow can now use 5 new abilities called Doom Spear, Doom Blast, Doom Morph, Doom Wing and Doom Surf and they are all showcased in this new trailer. Check it out:
Sonic X Shadow Generations releases on October 25th 2024 on PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. The game comes in a standard edition which includes a copy of Gerald Robotnik’s journal, a reversible cover and a Sonic Adventure skin for Sonic. There is also a digital deluxe edition which includes an additional skin and level for Shadow, alongside a digital art book and soundtrack. Limited Run Games are also producing a collector’s edition which includes a Sonic and Shadow Dreamcast statue, a physical art book and soundtrack plus many more goodies.

Like a Dragon: Yakuza will be co-directed by Take Masaharu and Takimoto Kengo. Kiryu Kazama will be played by Takeuchi Ryoma. The series will premiere in 2 batches of 3 episodes, with the first going live on October 24th, while the 2nd batch will premiere on November 1st.

The trailer gives us a fresh look at Final Rush from SA2, Bullet Station from Sonic Heroes and Kingdom Valley from Sonic 06 and shows off the game’s impressive visuals by directly comparing them to the original versions of these stages. It makes for a fun watch which you see via the embed below:
