Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Release Date Brought Forward, New Trailer Showcases Naval Combat | Video Spotlight

A new trailer for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii has premiered as a part of the Xbox Partners Showcase, and with it comes the announcement that the game’s release date has been brought forward to February 21st 2025. Check out the new trailer via the embed below:

This latest trailer for Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii mainly focuses on naval combat and ship customisation, but it also shares some brand new information like the return of Taiga Saejima. We also get the name of Samoa Joe’s character who is called Raymond Law – a self-proclaimed Pirate King.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PS4 and PS5 on February 21st 2025. The game is being developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios.

Get a Closer Look at the Combat in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii With This New Gameplay Trailer | Video Spotlight

A new combat gameplay trailer has dropped for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. This new footage features some hand-to-hand combat that showcases Majima using some shadow clones. We also get to se some sword-based combat with Pirate Majima.

There’s a surprisingly large amount of enemies in the battles featured in this video which brings games like Dynasty Warriors to mind. Check it out for yourself via the embed below:

New Yakuza Title ‘Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii’ Announced

The next entry in the Yakuza franchise has been revealed! This time Goro Majima gets lead billing in a real-time action title as opposed to Like a Dragon and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth which focused on turn-based combat.

Majima finds himself washed up on the shores of an island off the coast of Hawaii with no memory of who he is. With a new found need to protect the island natives from pirates, Majima himself takes the high seas and turns to a life of piracy when he defeats the captain of a ship. Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will release on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on February 28th 2025. Development is once again being handled by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.
