The lovely Helen Doherty has reviewed 2 games for the site; NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams and Sonic Rivals. They can be found under Third Part Reviews and then Seventh Generation of Gaming from the menu or you can click below for each review. A big thanks to Helen for doing these and for putting a lot of detail in. These are probably the most in-depth reviews on the website!

Head over to the official Sonic Fan Remix website now to download a demo of the fangame that is taking the internet by storm.
However, be prepared to suffer if you’re computer isn’t very high end because Sonic Fan Remix requires a lot of power. Those of you with up-to-date gaming PCs need not worry.

SEGA will be releasing high definition ports of Dreamcast titles SEGA Bass Fishing and Space Channel 5 Part 2 on X-Box Live Arcade and Playstation Network in early 2010.
“The release of these games marks SEGA’s ongoing effort to bring its best-sellers from the Dreamcast era to the latest consoles,” said Haruki Satomi, Vice President of Digital Business at SEGA.
“We want to enable a new generation of players to experience some of the most celebrated titles our video game history has to offer, while at the same time appealing to our enthusiastic and much appreciated community of fans.”
Personally, I’m really happy to see Space Channel 5 making some sort of a comeback. Maybe they should add Move and Kinect support to keep things fresh and on the same level as similar games like Just Dance. Only time will tell.

Is SEGA back on form or what!? Check out this mental 8 minute trailer of the next Yakuza game; Yakuza of the End. If us Westerners don’t get an opportunity to play this in our region we’re going to be missing one of the craziest games ever released.
It appears that a post-apocalyptic Kamurocho is now overrun with zombies and it’s up to Kazuma and friends to take on the hoards of nasties. Whoever had the idea to mix the Yakuza series with Left4Dead is an absolute genius because this looks like ridiculous fun:

More Streets of Rage fangames! This time, this one is actually a complete game!
Streets of Rage Remake was developed by Bomber Games and is a remix game of sorts. It essentially mashes up elements of all 3 Streets of Rage games into 1. The stages are expanded and altered from the originals and there’s even the addition of extra and unlockable characters to use.
Have a look at some gameplay footage to see what’s on offer:
This is a remarkable achievement which is incredible fun to play. So give it a go! You can download the final release here and enjoy some wonderful Streets of Rage action on your PC!
