Now here’s a release I wasn’t expecting! SEGA have translated and released Demon Tribe in the West. The game was previously a Japan exclusive MOBA for iOS devices but Japan exclusive no more! The next in Christian ‘Taxman’ Whitehead’s Retro Engine Sonic remasters is Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and the game is coming to iOS and Android devices this November. Also confirmed is a scaled down version of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed also for iOS and Android. Ron Gilbert and Double Fine’s adventure game The Cave is now available for iOS devices. The game is priced at a vastly reduced £2.99 which is considerably cheaper than the XBLA and PSN versions. A surprise release from SEGA! A new iOS game has appeared called Fiete Match. The game is a memory/puzzle game from the AHOiii studio who recently won SEGA’s Big Indie Pitch challenge and Gamescom. SEGA Japan have been teasing Project 575 for quite a while now, but we finally have the full details on what it is. Project 575 is actually 2 separate games that work off each other. The first is called Song Composer 575 and it takes the form of an iOS app. The app allows you to create songs with the Vocaloid software. It introduces two new voices called Azuki Masaoka and Matcha Kobayashi. You can also interact with the new characters by watching them dance, dressing them up in different outfit and enabling an augmented reality feature which allows you to take photos with the characters. The PS Vita game is called Song Builder 575 and takes the form of a rhythm/puzzle game. As the songs play you have to read the lyrics and insert the correct syllables in fill in the blanks. Whatever syllable you choose will be sung by the in-game character giving you customisation options for the song. Song Builder 575 will also be loaded with songs created with Song Composer 575 but only the highest rated songs will make the cut. [Source: Siliconera] Webmaster and lead writer at SEGADriven. THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED Today marks the release of a new Sonic Dash update which features a new global challenge. From today until the 5th of August, Sonic Dash users can contribute to a global challenge. The goal of the global challenge is for users to accumulate a total of 100 laps around the world. If Sonic Dash users achieve this then all users will unlock Shadow the Hedgehog as a free playable character. To celebrate the launch of the app we are also running a Sonic Dash competition. Up for grabs are 3 exclusive Sonic Dash t-shirts (1 small, 1 medium and 1 large) and an exclusive Sonic Dash iPhone 5 case.
To enter, simply answer the following question: In the lyrics to ‘Team Chaotix’, what is “Charmy’s thing”? Simply email your answer, name and postal address to segadriven[at]live.com (replacing the [at] accordingly) and enter “Sonic Dash Global Challenge Competition” in the subject line. This competition is open to all our visitors worldwide but you must get your entries in by 5pm BST on August 2nd.
