The Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F Demo at E3 is in English

Wednesday, June 6th, 2012

Good news for western Project Diva fans! The version of Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F being displayed at E3 is in fact completely in English. The title of the game has simply been changed to Hatsune Miku for this tech demo. There is still no word as to whether this means the game is coming to the west or if SEGA are attempting to gauge interest in the title.

There’s even direct-feed gameplay footage for those interested. Check it out:

Is Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F Coming to the West?

Tuesday, June 5th, 2012

The official Project Diva Twitter account has revealed that a copy of Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F is playable at the Sony Computer Entertainment America booth at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). There is currently no word as to whether this means there will be a Western release for the game but this revelation certainly gives us hope! The demo on display is the same one that was previously available at the Nico Nico Chokaigi event.

Also shown is the box art for the PS Vita version. Check it out:

Video Spotlight: Hatsune Miku Project DIVA F Trailer

Thursday, May 31st, 2012

The new Project DIVA game for PS Vita and Playstation 3 now has an official title, namely ‘Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F’.

The PS Vita version launches on August 30th this year while the Playstation 3 version has an unconfirmed release date of ‘2013’.

Check out the new trailer for the game below:

Once again, these titles will probably not get a Western release due to licensing issues with the music, but thanks to the PS Vita and the PS3’s lack of region lockout they should be easy enough to import for those of you who are interested (and trust me, I’m very interested!).

Hatsune Miku Project DIVA: Dreamy Theater Extend Announced

Thursday, May 31st, 2012

As with every Project Diva game released for PSP, a ‘Dreamy Theater’ version is released for PS3. These games use your save data from the PSP versions to allow you to play the songs in high definition with enhanced graphics on your PS3.

SEGA of Japan have just announced that a Dreamy Theater Extend will be released on the Japanese Playstation Store. There is currently no announcement regarding the release date at this time.

The game’s official website has screenshots and a tentative tracklist which you can view by clicking here.

I think it would be safe to say that Dreamy Theater Extend won’t be making it to Western shores as the game requires Project DIVA Extend to play (which is also Japanese exclusive). Sad times for Western Project DIVA fans 🙁

Video Spotlight: Next Hatsune Miku Project Diva Trailer

Tuesday, April 17th, 2012

Well I am very excited now! Anyone who knows me personally will know that I’m a bit of a sucker for Vocaloid but up until this point I’ve had to satisfy myself with CDs as I don’t own a PSP to play the Project Diva games. Well Next Hatsune Miku Project Diva appears to be getting a release on PS Vita AND PS3 which means I can import it for PS3 and finally play a Project Diva game! Wooooo!

Anyway, enough about my silly fanboy obsessions; check out the new trailer which shows off what the PS Vita version looks like:

The game is being developed by the same team behind Project Diva Arcade. The PS Vita version launches this Summer in Japan while the PS3 version is slated for a 2013 release.

SEGA Tunes: Project DIVA Arcade Quartet Theme Remix

Friday, February 10th, 2012

Anyone remember the SEGA arcade game Quartet? Allow me to jog your memory:

Now here’s an interesting remix for you all! The main theme from Quartet was remixed and added as a playable song in Project DIVA Arcade. Check out the promotional video below:

Also interesting for Sonic fans is that if you skip the chorus (1:14) you might recognise the melody to It Doesn’t Matter from Sonic Adventure. Seriously! We’re not entirely sure if this is a coincidence or not but it’s certainly worth noting!
