Bayonetta will be re-released via the Playstation Network on January 30th. The Platinum Games epic will be available to download for £14.99. There is currently no word about whether the long loading times of the original PS3 release will be cured in the PSN version. SEGA has successfully won Relic Entertainment (developers of Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War and Space Marine) meaning it now has control of both the Warhammer license and Warhammer 40K license. SEGA paid a whopping $26.6 million. In other news, Platinum Games has shown an interest in buying the Vigil studio who own the rights to the Darksiders franchise. This is an interesting move in that Platinum Games’ Bayonetta was released the same week as the original Darksiders. Platinum Games head honcho Atsushi Inaba tweeted: “In THQ studio and IP selling off auction, Darksiders is unsold? [We] wanna buy it…on the cheap…” The Vigil studio was not put up for auction with the other THQ franchises which could mean that Platinum Games make a deal with THQ out of auction for the lower price that Inaba-san is talking about. Follow on Twitter @kronkblats Anarchy Reigns Limited Edition Includes Playable BayonettaThursday, November 8th, 2012Anarchy Reigns will be getting a limited edition which includes Bayonetta as a playable character. The limited edition also includes 2 bonus multiplayer modes; Mad Survival and Dogfight. Mad Survival pits a team of 3 characters against waves of enemies that are made up of playable characters from the game. Dogfight’s mechanic is to hang you from helicopters while you shoot at other players also hanging from helicopters. Sounds mental. Anarchy Reigns launches in the UK on the 11th of January 2013 for £19.99. The game is already out in Japan where it goes by the name of Max Anarchy. Follow on Twitter @kronkblats Platinum Games Now Have An Exclusivity Deal With NintendoWednesday, September 26th, 2012Platinum Games; the famed developers of SEGA published games Bayonetta, MadWorld and Vanquish have now entered an exclusivity deal with Nintendo. This is why Bayonetta 2 is being released for the Wii-U with SEGA acting in an advisory role only. Platinum Games have also revealed a 2nd Wii-U title called ‘The Wonderful 101’. You can watch the reveal trailer below: Platinum Games have also spoke about how they regret not handling the PS3 version of Bayonetta themselves and how the negative feedback they received helped them learn to handle both 360 and PS3 versions of their games in-house. ORIGINAL STORY Yusuku Hashimoto who produced the original Bayonetta is now directing and the former Clover Studio CEO Atsushi Inaba is now acting as producer.
