It’s been very quiet on the Sonic Origins front. We haven’t heard anything since the game’s initial reveal back in May 2021, but something is definitely happening soon because the game has been rated in South Korea and some key art has been leaked via the back door of the PlayStation Network. You can see the key art in the header for this this article.
Sonic Origins is a new collection of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic the Hedgehog CD. Sonic 3 & Knuckles will also be available to play in their full combined glory, and it has been promised that all games will be displayed in a widescreen resolution. This has led many to believe these ports are being based on Christian Whitehead’s mobile versions of Sonic 1, 2 and CD.
Sonic Origins is scheduled to release at some point in 2022 for “the latest platforms“. Here’s hoping more news on Sonic Origins is coming soon!

Pre-orders will open on March 6th 2022. Wonder Boy Anniversary Collection is being developed by ININ and being physically published by Strictly Limited Games and digitally published by BlissBrain.
SEGA has announced a collaboration with virtual marathon company Medal Dash; they’ll be putting on a Sonic-themed ‘virtual run’.
The idea is simple: run or walk 5K, 10K or 13.1 miles by the end of 2022, and you’ll get Sonic merch. That said, this is a paid event with limited slots, so it’s not just freebies. Sign-ups start at $34.95, and the swag on offer includes a die-cast medal, a running bib and some shirts.
It’s certainly a fitting way to leverage the Sonic brand, even if our aging brains can’t quite wrap our head around the entire ‘virtual run’ concept. The website does mention participants across the world, so it would seem this is open to UK residents too.
When Tracker isn’t playing SEGA games, he’s talking about SEGA games. Or drawing about SEGA games. Or all of the above. You can also catch him over on Twitter.
Two Point have revealed a new DLC expansion for Two Point Hospital called Speedy Recovery and it’s coming to Steam and the Microsoft Store on March 15th 2022. This new expansion adds 3 new locations, 3 new cure machines, 6 new illnesses, new ambulance dispatch action, new music and new DJ and tannoy dialogue. You can check out the announcement trailer below:
Two Point Hospital was originally released in August 2018 and was developed by Two Point who feature ex-Bullfrog staff. A sequel called Two Point Campus is due for release May 17th 2022.
ININ have revealed they will be publishing a Wonder Boy Collection for PS4 and Switch. The announcement trailer features the Master System versions of Wonder Boy and Wonder Boy in Monster Land, alongside the Mega Drive versions of Wonder Boy in Monster World and Monster World IV.
Development duties on the collection is being handled by BlissBrain. What’s strange is that the information on the BlissBrain site and ININ site actually pictures the arcade versions of Wonder Boy and Wonder Boy in Monster Land, so it is currently not clear if the collection features the Master System versions, the arcade versions or both.
The Wonder Boy Collection will be published digitally by BlissBrain and ININ and physically by Strictly Limited Games. Pre-orders for the collection from Strictly Limited games will go live “soon”. There is currently no word on a firm release date for the collection. All titles in the collection are officially under license from SEGA. ININ had previously published the Monster World IV remake Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World.
