The previously Eastern-exclusive Puyo Puyo eSports will launch in the West on May 7th 2019 as Puyo Puyo Champions, for PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC. This title is built heavily on the Puyo Puyo Tetris engine and focus heavily on both local and online multiplayer. SEGASonic Bros is a cancelled arcade puzzle game from the creator of Puzzle Bobble that was recently discovered and dumped for preservation. Thanks to some spectacular modding by Dustin O’Dell, the game is now playable on the Mega Drive! We take a look at this version in our latest video: Want to play the game yourself? SEGA have released a brand new mobile title today called SEGA Heroes. The game is a Bejeweled-like puzzler with RPG elements and an abundance of characters from various classic SEGA franchises. Put together a team of up to 4 characters and battle it out to level up and gain power ups. You can play as characters from Sonic the Hedgehog, Golden Axe, Shinobi and Streets of Rage and all the characters have been drawn in a cartoony, big-head style that keeps things looking consistent. After yesterday’s not-so-cryptic teases on the Steam pages of Bayonetta, Vanquish and Valkyria Chronicles, Puyo Puyo Tetris is now fully confirmed for a PC Steam release on the 27th of February 2018. Pre-ordering the game now is supposed to grant Steam users a 10% discount (£13.49) as well as access to some exclusive wallpapers and avatars. The discovery of a long lost Sonic arcade game has been quite the talking point in the SEGA community as of late! After some speculation as to what SEGASonic Bros. actually contains, we can now confirm the game was actually a puzzle game in the style of Cleopatra Fortune. Two new shots have appeared showing the game’s tutorial mode (see above) and some in-game action (below):

In what must be the puzzle game crossover to end all puzzle game crossovers, Puyo Puyo and Tetris collide to create Puyo Puyo Tetris. The game quite literally blends the traditional gameplay elements of both the Puyo Puyo series and Tetris to create an ungodly mash-up of epic proportions. LEONA’s Tricky Adventures is a new puzzle game with exploration elements in development for Dreamcast and Amiga. The game is in development by KTX Software Dev. and the studio are using Kickstarter to fund the game. The studio are after £35,000 to secure development.
