Sonic X Shadow Generations Collector’s Edition Now Available to Pre-Order Via Limited Run Games

Limited Run Games have revealed they are producing a collector’s edition for Sonic X Shadow Generations. This exclusive version of the game will include the following contents:

– A physical copy of the game on either PS4, PS5, PC, Switch or Xbox One
– An ‘Art of Sonic x Shadow Generations’ book
– The game’s official Soundtrack
– A Sonic & Shadow Dreamcast statue
– A commemorative Dreamcast jewel case
– A steelbook
– 3 Chao figurines
– 3 keychains based on Sonic, Shadow and Classic Sonic’s shoes
– A numbered certificate of authenticity

The collector’s edition of Sonic X Shadow Generations is available to pre-order now from Limited Run Games for $249.99, and it will ship between October 25th and November 8th 2024. The standard and digital editions of Sonic X Shadow Generations will launch on October 22nd 2024.

Two Point Museum Announced, ‘Coming Soon’ to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

Two Point Studios are back with a 3rd entry in their Two Point management series that also includes Two Point Hospital and Two Point Campus.

The next entry in the series is called Two Point Museum and let’s you run a museum to the surprise of many. You can check out the announcement trailer via the embed below:

As you can see in the trailer, the usual Two Point humour is back for Two Point Museum. The press release for the game promises the ability to create and design your own museum, go on expeditions to discover new exhibits, as well has have complete creative freedom over item colours and interior design. You can also provide guest tours whilst micro-managing the various item prices and areas for staff. We are also promised the opportunity to provide guests entertainment alongside exhibit information, as well as managing the chaos of the exhibits themselves, which can contain carnivorous plants. There’s also the threat of thievery to deal with.

While there is no firm release date at the time of writing, Two Point Museum is scheduled to release “soon” for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

New Sonic X Shadow Generations Trailer Gets Comparative With Side-By-Side Look at New Stages vs Legacy Versions | Video Spotlight

A new Sonic X Shadow Generations trailer has dropped and it showcases 3 of the game’s new Shadow stages by comparing them to their original incarnations.

The trailer gives us a fresh look at Final Rush from SA2, Bullet Station from Sonic Heroes and Kingdom Valley from Sonic 06 and shows off the game’s impressive visuals by directly comparing them to the original versions of these stages. It makes for a fun watch which you see via the embed below:

Sonic X Shadow Generations launches on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, Switch and PC on October 25th 2024. The game is a full remake of Sonic Generations with a new Shadow campaign bolted on.

New Teaser Uploaded for the ‘Dark Beginnings’ Sonic X Shadow Generations Animated Short Series | Video Spotlight

A new 3 episode animated series will premiere alongside the release of Sonic X Shadow Generations called Sonic X Shadow: Dark Beginnings. This will be a short animated prologue to the game and each episode will go live in Autumn 2024 on SEGA’s YouTube channel. Along with this announcement we have our first look at the series via a quick teaser that you can watch in the embed below:

Animated shorts and new Sonic games have gone hand-in-hand since Sonic Mania Adventures premiered alongside Sonic Mania Plus in 2018. It looks like this will become a bit of a tradition as Sonic X Shadow Generations: Dark Beginnings follows Team Sonic Racing Overdrive, Sonic Colors: Rise of the Wisps, Sonic Frontiers Prologue: Divergence and Sonic Superstars: Trio of Trouble.

Sonic X Shadow Generations is an upcoming re-release of Sonic Generations with a newly added Shadow campaign. The game will release on PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on October 25th 2024.

Tectoy Have Revealed a Handheld Zeebo Successor Called the Zeenix

Tectoy are making a big return to the gaming hardware space with a brand new system called the Zeenix – a PC handheld that is competing in a similar space to the Steam Deck. The console is clearly named in reference to their previous console the Zeebo and will follow a similar digital distribution system for releasing games. There is currently no firm release date other than “2024” at the time of writing.

There will be 2 models of the Zeenix – a Pro and Lite model. The Pro model features a 512gb SSD for storage and is powered by the Ryzen 7 6800U GPU. The Lite model features a 256bg SSD for storage and is powered by the AMD 3050e GPU. In addition to the console itself, Tec Toy have revealed a wireless RGB keyboard and pro controller that can be paired with the system. Connection to a TV or monitor is done via a separately sold dongle.

The first game announced for released on the system is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror title called Damned 2, developed by 9heads Games Studios. The game will also release on Steam and you can wishlist it now. You can check out a trailer for Damned 2 via the embed below:

While it is safe to assume the Zeenix will release in Brazil, the official website is available in English as well. There is no official word from the company, but this could imply Tectoy are planning to release the Zeenix outside of Brazil too.

If you are unfamiliar with Tectoy, they started life as the official Brazilian manufacturer and distributor for SEGA consoles in that territory. As a result, they have a history that is deeply connected with SEGA. Their biggest success came with the Master System which they started manufacturing in 1987 and continue to sell variants of to this day.

As you can see we’re treated to some footage of Shadow in the Space Colony ARK stage, a Radical Highway stage, a boss battle with the Biolizard.

Sonic X Shadow Generations Launches 25th October 2024, Digital Deluxe Edition Revealed With Bonus Character Skins

A brand new trailer for Sonic X Shadow Generations has dropped that confirms the game’s release date for October 25th 2024. You can check out the new trailer via the embed below:

The trailer appears to confirm the inclusion of a Bullet Station level, a Space Colony ARK stage and a Kingdom Valley stage. These are likely new additions to Shadow’s campaign.

In addition to the release date, the trailer also highlights a digital deluxe edition version of the game that includes the following additional content:

– a Sonic Adventure character skin for Sonic
– a Telios character skin for Shadow that makes him look like one of his early concept designs
– an additional level for Shadow’s campaign
– extra skill points to be used in game
– an extra pack of background music tracks
– a digital art book
– the game’s full soundtrack

Mega CD RPG Vay Coming to Steam July 2024

An enhanced PC port of the 1993 Mega CD RPG Vay is coming to Steam in July 2024. Originally developed by SIMS and released exclusively in Japan and North America, this new PC port is based on an existing mobile port of Vay developed by SoMoGa and released on mobile devices in 2008.

You can wishlist the PC port of Vay on Steam right now. This new version is boasting newly updated looping music and bluetooth controller support. Outside of these updates it is largely an upscaled version of the Mega CD original, with new widescreen artwork for battles and a new high definition HUD during the overworld exploration.

This new PC port of Vay also has support for both Japanese and English spoken dialogue. It is currently unclear whether the English dub is from the 1994 Working Designs version or is newly recorded.

SEGA Publishing Shadow of the Ninja Reborn in Japan, Releasing August 2024

SEGA Japan have revealed they will publish the upcoming Shadow of the Ninja Reborn in Japan only. Now known as Kage: Shadow of the Ninja, this remake of the original NES game is being lead by Natsume Atari in the same style as Wild Guns Reloaded, The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors and Pocky & Rocky Reshrined. This means we get entirely new artwork and a widescreen resolution. The game’s original composer Iku Mizutani also returns with a remixed soundtrack.

The game is due for release on PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch on the 29th of August 2024. The game will also release in Western territories on Xbox Series X|S consoles, and the PC via Steam. You can check out SEGA Japan’s announcement trailer below:
