Etrian Odyssey Nexus, a Western release of what Japan knows as Etrian Odyssey X, has been announced by Atlus. The title will release in America and Europe on February 5th 2019.

Nexus is essentially a Sonic Generations-type deal of the past Etrian dungeon-crawler titles, featuring classes, characters, and so forth from across the series’ history. The game is also touted as the series’ final installment on the Nintendo 3DS, of which there have been quite a fewAs such, it’s intended to be a grand send-off for the series’ dual screen days – and it certainly sounds like one.

It’s not the only Etrian-style title on the way for 3DS though, as spinoff Persona Q 2 is also on the way – set for a November 29th 2018 release date in Japan. Still no word on a localisation for that title, however.

SEGA & Atlus announce E3 Lineup, 2 Atlus Game Reveals Due June 7th

Wednesday, June 6th, 2018

SEGA and Atlus have revealed their plans for E3, including what’ll be playable on the show floor. They’ve also hinted at a few announcements.

The following games will be playable on the show floor:

  • Team Sonic Racing, the new racing title from Sumo Digital.
  • Shining Resonance Refrain, the Shining series’ return to the West after a decade and a remaster of Shining Resonance.
  • Valkyria Chronicles 4, the latest in SEGA’s beloved strategy series.
  • Yakuza Kiwami 2, a remake of Yakuza 2.

In addition, Atlus will be announcing two new titles tomorrow (June 7th). Gematsu has discovered a directory on Atlus’ site that suggests these are Western releases for Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night and Persona 5: Dancing Star Night, which were recently released in Japan. These titles will also be playable on the floor.

Total War: Three Kingdoms from SEGA Europe will be at E3, but won’t be playable. Atlus will also be debuting a trailer for Catherine: Full Body on the show floor, a remake of the original PS3 climbing-blocks-em-up.

SEGA will also be streaming throughout the event, across YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook. Overall, it’s looking to be a fairly packed E3 for SEGA fans! Now if only SEGA AGES were there…

Atlus Rumoured to Be Working on SEGA Ports “Don’t Rule Out Yakuza 5″ UPDATE Atlus Debunk Rumour

Monday, February 3rd, 2014

UPDATE

Jason Schreier of Kotaku has apparently been in contact with Atlus USA who have said that they are unaware of any work being done on a Yakuza 5 port. He adds that, “they’re not a big company and they just announced like 4 new Persona games. Seems pretty unlikely to me.” Are Atlus USA covering up a leak or is this EGM just speculating?

Thanks to TimmiT for bring this information to our attention.

ORIGINAL STORY

SEGA’s acquisition of Atlus may result in one of the most fan-requested ports in recent years.

Rumours posted in this month’s EGM magazine confirm that Atlus is working on ports for SEGA and that we shouldn’t “rule out Yakuza 5 coming to America under the Atlus banner”.

Nothing has been confirmed at this time and it’s not clear whether EGM are just speculating or whether they have some insider information, but the feature comes with the huge Yakuza 5 header which hints that the magazine might know more than they’re letting on.

One can only hope!
