Developed by Traveller’s Tales, the studio behind Sonic R, Sonic 3D and countless Lego titles, Sonic’s level pack for Lego Dimensions includes Sonic himself and 2 vehicles to pilot; his car from All-Stars Racing and the Tornado of Sonic 2 fame. Sonic appears to have his modern 3D Sonic move-set complete with homing attack, but with additional combat mechanics. He can also pilot all manor of vehicles that already exist in Lego Dimesnions. Sonic the Hedgehog will be making his way into Lego Dimensions. A new trailer that confirms additions for the second year of the game’s existence has revealed that Adventure Time, Ghostbusters, Gremlins, E.T. and most importantly, Sonic the Hedgehog himself will be playable in the game. This obviously means a Lego mini-fig of Sonic is also in the works. Check out Sonic’s reveal in the below trailer:
There are no details as to what Sonic’s appearance in Lego Dimensions fully entails. We don’t know whether Sonic’s addition will come as a part of a story pack, level pack, team pack or fun pack and we don’t know what additional characters from the Sonic franchise will also be appearing. The above artwork does hint that Sonic’s vehicle might be the Tornado if that little bi-plane next to Voldemort is anything to go by. We’ll update this story with more details as we get them.
